Gremlin's Organized Inventory

Reserve slots in practically any invetory so you can keep your hoarding nice and tidy

Gremlin's Organised Inventory

A Create add-on that lets you put Create Filters on individual inventory slots. Lock your hotbar slot 1 to swords, keep a chest row for ores only, or make a hopper accept nothing but coal. Filtered slots only take matching items, and matching items go to them first.

It uses Create's own filter logic, so a slot behaves exactly like a funnel or tunnel with the same filter.

Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge · Requires Create 6+ · JEI optional

Where It Works

  • Your own inventory and hotbar
  • Chests, double chests and barrels
  • Ender chests (saved per player)
  • Shulker boxes
  • Hoppers
  • Dispensers and droppers

How To Use

  1. Open any supported inventory.
  2. Click the Organise tab. A second copy of the slot grid opens beside it.
  3. Pick up a configured Create Filter and left-click a slot in the copy grid. One filter is used.
  4. The real slot now only accepts items that match that filter.
Action (in the Filters grid) What it does
Left-click while holding a filter Puts the filter on that slot
Double-click a slot Removes its filter and gives it back to your inventory (dropped at your feet if there's no room)
Right-click a filtered slot Changes its tint: red, blue, green, orange or none

How Filtered Slots Behave

  • Only matching items can go in, whether you click, drag or shift-click.
  • Shift-clicking and picking items up fill matching filtered slots first.
  • If an item already in the slot doesn't match the new filter, it pops out.
  • Hover an empty filtered slot to see what it accepts.
  • The coloured tint helps to show which slots are filtered, even with the Filters tab closed.

Compatibility

  • Only vanilla-style inventory screens are supported. Modded containers with custom layouts are not.
