What's new

Graveborn 1.2.0 — Heavy Swing and Purple Requiem

  • Added an actual one-second greatsword swing: wind-up, broad diagonal cut, and recovery in first person, with matching heavy arm motion in third person. Ordinary melee still deals 20 base damage through normal Minecraft combat timing, armor, and enchantments.
  • Made the original bone blade 14% longer, with three jagged crown splinters and deeper fracture detail. Glowing purple skull eyes remain.
  • Changed every right-click charge, cone, and curse effect particle to purple.
  • Soulfire Requiem now applies a three-second curse: five raw damage at one, two, and three seconds, for 15 raw damage total. It has no immediate damage burst. Armor, resistance, and ordinary hurt immunity apply.
  • Reapplying the curse refreshes one timer; effects do not stack. Players, animals, neutral creatures, and allies remain protected, including during later damage pulses. The curse ends if its caster or target dies, leaves, changes dimensions, or its level unloads.
  • Added small, occasional purple motes near the held blade: about one per second at rest, with a modest increase during swings.
  • Retained the 50% Ender Dragon reward, no crafting recipe, 20 melee damage, 0.8 attack speed, empty-offhand rule, one-second ability charge, eight-second cooldown, and four durability per completed cast.

Validation: all 48 dedicated-server GameTests passed. The actual Minecraft client verified the model, both animation render hooks across the full swing, ambient motes, and a real right-click charge/release that dealt three five-damage pulses through normal client/server networking. All 36 release-archive checks passed. Real in-game animation captures are included in the local deliverables.

Live multiplayer with two separate clients and a full Survival/End playthrough remain untested. This update is a Beta.

Install: Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.259 or later within the 21.1 series, Java 21. Remove any older Graveborn JAR before installing graveborn-1.2.0.jar. Use the same version on clients and the server.
