What is Gothicon?
Gothicon is a gothic dark-fantasy RPG mod. You are an Outcast — choose your lineage, unlock a supernatural ability, brew potions in the Apothecary Cauldron, battle the Hyde boss, and complete a six-chapter story arc.
All assets are 100% original.
Features
5 Lineages — Siren, Familiar Hand, Hyde, Nightshade, Raven-Seer. Assigned on first login, persistent across death.
Active Abilities — one per lineage (Echo Pulse / Creeping Sight / Monstrous Surge / Venom Bloom / Raven Flight). Press R to activate. Power + cooldown system.
6-Chapter Story Arc — I Awakening → VI Heir. Narrated in chat. Complete it to receive the Sigil of Gothicon capstone item.
Apothecary Cauldron — custom block entity with GUI. Brews the Nightshade Brew via a data-driven recipe.
3 Mobs — Siren, Familiar Hand, Hyde (boss). Procedural per-mob animations.
Worldgen — Gothic Shrine structures spawn in the overworld. Nightshade Ore generates underground.
Sigil of Gothicon — capstone item granted on story completion. Passive Regeneration + Resistance while carried.
Gothicon Journal — right-click to check your story progress.
/gothicon commands — inspect and manage lineage, ability, and story state.
Requirements
Minecraft Java Edition, PC only (not Bedrock, Xbox, or console)
Java 25 runtime
NeoForge 26.2 (run the NeoForge installer)
Architectury API 21.0.2 for NeoForge 26.2 — required, place in your mods folder alongside this mod
