Curse Maven Snippet
WARNING:
When on a Server, opening Creative Inventory Menu with a Dark Wand/Staff or a Focus Bag in Inventory will remove any equipped Focuses on them! Other menus shouldn't do this but please inform if it does!
Fixes & Changes:
General:
- Fixed Structures generating in other dimensions other than the Overworld.
- Fixed not showing Totem Revival Effects.
- Fixed ??? effect bugs.
- Fixed Haunted Cactus dropping when converting regular Cactus.
- Fixed Bone Lord not attacking players wearing Necro Robes.
- Fixed Creeperling Explosions hurting Fel Armored Players.
- Tweaked some Black Book Entries.
- Tweaked certain Advancements to trigger when killing the mob instead of getting its special drop.
- Improved Soul Energy Bar texture and animation.
Item Fixes & Changes:
Necro Boots of Wander:
- Necro Boots of Wander will allow the Player to walk on Soul Sand without being slowed.
- If Necro Boots of Wander is enchanted with Soul Speed, walking/running on Soul Sand and the like will grant the player Soul Energy.
- Necro Boots of Wander prevents Haunted Bushes from giving the wearer Desiccate effect.
Philosopher's Mace:
- Tweaked this and Philosopher's Stone's Texture.
- Instead of chance of increasing Gold Touched, Looting grants the effect with the effect level proportional to Looting level.
- The Mace will only repair itself if the Player is not currently swinging it (meaning it won't mess up your mining when it's damaged).
Tall Skull
- Item now properly renders as a skull.
- Can now be worn on head.
Block Changes:
- Tweaked Textures for Cursed Blocks and Haunted Wood Blocks. Uses modified textures from Minecraft Dungeons.
- Fixed Soul Eating Totem Head drops. They now properly drop themselves along with all their enchantments when broken.
- Soul Eating Totem Heads can now be enchanted with Soul Eater Enchantment.
- Fangs summoned by Soul Eating Totem Heads uses the Totem's Soul Eater Enchantment instead of the Player's weapon.
Recipe Changes:
- Arca requires both a Heart of the Sea, a Dark Prismarine and a Lodestone for its recipe, replacing Buckets of Water and Lava and an Obsidian. This is to prevent rushing towards it while neglecting the poor Totem of Souls.
- Replaced Empty Focus with Animalis Focus in Hounding Focus recipe. This is for consistency sake.
- Ice Storm, Witch's Gale and Dragon's Wrath Focus now use the new Storm Ritual for crafting. More on Additions.
- Rituals won't start if ritual structure requirements are not reached. (So no more structure anxiety!)
Spell Changes:
Frost Breath and Ice Storm:
- They can now deal double damage to Striders and Magma Cubes instead of just Blazes.
- Withers are now immune to Frost damage.
Launch Spell:
- Slightly increase velocity.
Poison Ball Spell:
- Focus can now be enchanted with Potency and Duration.
- Instead of increasing Effect Level of Poison, Staffs will cause Poison Balls to deal magic damage.
Soul Skull Spell:
- Soul Skull's explosions deal no damage to items if player has Ring of Want with Wanting of any level instead of just 3 or above.
Witch's Gale Spell:
- Fixed Witch's Gale affecting the caster.
- Witch's Gale now throws mobs around itself like a proper gust instead of just pushing them away.
- Focus can now be enchanted with Potency, Duration and Range.
- Lower initial duration for negative effects.
- As with Poison Ball Spell, Staffs will cause Witch's Gales to deal magic damage.
- Witch's Gale looks less spastic.
Rotting and Osseous Spell:
- Zombie and Skeleton Servants can now be commanded to stay in place.
- Right clicking on an Undead Servant (barring Undead Wolves) will cause them to cycle through three movement commands (Follow -> Wander -> Stay -> Follow).
- Staying Servants will move to attack mobs if they attack their owner in an 8 Block Radius.
Mob Changes:
Vizier:
- Fixed Vizier's finicky Healing Spell.
- Vizier texture and model have been improved.
- Has custom Boss Bar (Can be disabled through Config)

- Dark Scroll texture has been improved.
- Dark Scrolls now need to be used within a Woodland Mansion. Players must be inside the Mansion for the Scroll to work.
- When summoned through Dark Scrolls, Vizier not immediately attack. They will stay in the air, confused for a second before starting combat (they'll be invulnerable during that time though!)
- When casting spells, the Vizier will be positioned above yet near the player similar to how Withers position themselves when directly attacking a mob.
- Viziers will only have a chance of casting their Healing Spell if 2 or more Irks are around them.
- Irks position themselves the same way, only closer.
- Irk's Soul Bullets passes through Viziers and other Irks.
- Viziers have a new spell that can be cast after summoning fangs on their targets. They will stay in position and summon a row of Spikes similar to Evokers summoning Fangs.
- Spikes are stationary mobs that damages any non illager related mobs nearby. They're invulnerable and are simply hazards to make maneuvering around the Vizier harder.
Cultists:
- Tweaked Disciple and Channeller Texture to make them look Pale.
- Disciples are less spazzy.
- Disciple and Apostle spell casting particles have changed.
- Beldams will throw Harming Potions to undead allies. (Meaning they won't hurt their Apostle sempai master when trying to help them if they were anywhere near them)
- Certain Cultists have a higher chance of summoning reinforcements when in Hard Difficulty.
- Tweaked Fanatic, Zealot and Disciple Armor chances. They should be able to spawn with non-diamond and non-netherite armor of any kind.
- Thugs actually go towards their targets.
- Thugs go faster when spotting a target.
- Thugs walk funny. Not a bug, just trying some stuff out.
- Zombie Villager Servants can come in different textures to make them less homogeneous.
Apostle:
- Apostle's Texture and Model have been improved.
- Has custom Boss Bar (Can be disabled through Config).

- Increased Apostle's Health from 180 to 320.
- Summoning Ritual now requires 4 Liber Barathrums and either one Netherite Ingot or Burning Tusk for activation. Due to Unholy Blood's endgame status, ritual requirements are adjusted.
- Unholy Blood are now immune to explosions.
- Apostles changes Fog color.
- On Hard difficulty, Apostles have same magic resistance as Witches.
- Tweaked Apostle's Teleportation. Apostles will teleport more frequently.
- Apostle uses Smoke Particles when teleporting.
- Apostles heal more quickly.
- Apostles casts spells more quickly.
- Apostles will summon Nether Meteors (Reskinned Soul Fireballs) regardless of weather if 32 Blocks and above the Apostle is empty and is not in the Nether.
- Apostles will cause every non-Creative Player within 32 Blocks of them to stop Creative Flying.
- During Second Phase, instead of summoning a Rain of Fireballs onto players, Apostles will instead summon a rain of Arrows on them. (Don't worry, the arrows will instantly disappear after hitting, and it doesn't take long so no ultra lags).
- Fire Tornadoes summoned by Apostles now follow the Apostle's target. :O
- Fire Tornadoes now deal 3 Hearts of Damage when near mobs.
- Fire Tornadoes now spin mobs around itself and propels them away instead of just pushing them away.
- Fire Tornadoes has an ambient sound.
- Fire Tornadoes now look less spastic.
- Apostles can't move through dimensions. (Apparently bosses can't into portals)
Additions:
- Storm Ritual. Requires 12 Blocks of Iron, 4 Glowstones, and 20 Chains. Dark Altar must be at Y 128 or above and within a Thunderstorm for the ritual to work.
- Sonic Boom Spell. Yes, you can Warden your enemies. Unlike the Warden's Sonic Boom, the spell has an area of effect. Crafting requires Ruby of Souls.
- Dry Obelisks. Craftable Obelisks that when near a Dead Sand Block, makes it convert Blocks more quickly. Stops working once enough Dead Sands are in its vicinity. Pretty useless if Dead Sand Spread is turned off.
- New Advancements when killing a Vizier or a Hoglord.
- New Entries for Hoglord and Apostle in Black Book.
- Added Bestiary Category within the Exploration Category.
- Cross Mod compatibility. Added Enchantment Descriptions and Effect Descriptions.
