Description
Gods and Crops is an UNFINISHED cosmic horror mod, featuring custom farming, 3 new dimensions, and 20+ new mobs! There are still many bugs and features not yet implemented, but here is the full list of features
SANITY MECHANIC
There are a number of things that can make your sanity go down; standing outside at night for too long, standing near 'watcher' mobs, and more! There are a few ways to increase your sanity as well.
HEARTY MEALS
These are meals that require multiple ingredients; 'Chicken Dinner,' 'Fish and Chips,' 'Havest Stew,' are just a few examples. These are the quickest and easiest way to increase your sanity.
SMALL MEALS
Small custom meals that are quick to make and give you a very small boost of sanity; 'roast corn,' 'shortbread,' and 'stuffed tomato,' to name a few.
KNITTING
The mod adds 16 new sweater items, that can be crafted by right-clicking on a block of wool while holding the 'knitting needles' item. These sweaters will slowly increase your sanity while wearing.
NIGHTMARES
These are unfortunately not fully implemented; the only way to access these is in creative mode, by creating a portal out of muscle blocks or glowstone and igniting it using the corresponding ignighters only accessable from the creative menu.
When functional, rarely after sleeping you will be teleported to a 'nightmare,' one of two new dimensions, pictured below. In nightmare one, you are in an old alpha version of minecraft. Explore, break blocks; the only way to 'wake up,' is to find the Steve mob and collide with him. The second nightmare teleports you to a nether-like fleshy hellscape; the only way to wake up from this nightmare is to destroy one of the heart blocks, which can be found in the heart structure.
CULTISTS
There are four types of cultists, which can be found in their respective villages; they each pray to one god - 'The Cinder,' 'The Tide,' 'The Breath,' or 'The Root.' Their villages are where you can get access to the new crops - Onions, Tomatoes, Corn and Mandrakes.
CROPS
Tomatoes - Can only be grown on the trellis block; need to be chopped in half to be grown.
Corn - Need to craft into kernals to be grown on farmland
Onion - Need to be chopped in half to be grown on farmland
Mandrake - Need to be chopped in half to be grown on farmland, will reduce sanity if held too long
Squash - Grown on farmland
