Description

Vibrant, light-emitting paths and seamless architectural glass
Glowing Trails transforms how you navigate, design, and illuminate your Minecraft world. Featuring all 16 vanilla dye colors, this mod introduces a complete set of versatile light sources designed for clear wayfinding, atmospheric builds, and clean architectural lines.

16 Colored Glowing Dusts
Place luminous trails directly on the ground to navigate dark spaces or add vibrant floor accents. These dusts connect visually like redstone wire but operate entirely independently, meaning they will not interfere with your redstone circuits or cause lag from signal updates.
16 Glowing Stones Blocks
Construct solid walls or steady light sources emitting a constant light level of 15. Crafted by combining four dusts, these structural blocks can be shattered back into their base dust components or collected whole using a Silk Touch pickaxe.
16 Glowing Glass Blocks
Build illuminated windows and modern architectural features using frameless, tinted glass blocks. Engineered with clean cutout rendering, these blocks provide pure colored lighting without the visual clutter of inner grid lines when placed side-by-side.
16 Connecting Glowing Panes
Add depth to your illuminated builds with thin glass panes that seamlessly connect to surrounding blocks. The custom blockstates ensure smooth connections around corners and walls without any awkward transparent clipping or depth-sorting glitches.
True Vanilla Survival Integration
Every item is fully obtainable in survival mode through intuitive crafting recipes. The mod includes custom advancements to track your progress and utilizes standard item tags to ensure compatibility with other mods and modpacks right out of the box.

True Colored Lighting And Shader Recommendations
While Glowing Trails blocks will always emit a bright light level of 15 in the base game, vanilla Minecraft's rendering engine only supports standard, warm-white block lighting. If you want your glowing dust and glass to cast actual red, blue, green, or purple light onto the surrounding walls and floors, you will need a shader pack that supports dynamic colored lighting.
Our recommendation for this mod is Rethinking Voxels.
