Gloom Caves adds a new dimension with many new blocks and items.
In order to enter the Gloom Caves, you must craft Silentstone for the portal frame and a Flint and Diamond to light it. The dimension is extremely dark, so it is suggested that you bring a lot of torches.
-This common stone makes up the majority of the Gloom Caves dimension. Diamonds and Gold are commonly found in this stone.
Quetite:
-Another common rock found in the Gloom Caves that spawns most often in the biomes that have more water and plant life.
Gloom Kyanite:
-A common decorative stone found in the Ancient Desert biome that can be turned into bricks.
Gloom Salt:
-This resource is found in the Salt Basin biome. It can be smelted into Smooth Gloom Salt, which is a decorative block, or it can be made into Gloom Stew when combined with Gloomcaps.
Silentstone:
-A rare block that can only be crafted with two Iron Ingots, two Stone, two Soul Sand, two Sculk, and a Diamond. It is used to make the Gloom Caves Portal.
Gloom Soil:
-Purple soil that is found in the Gloom Terrace biome. It has no use other than decorative or trading.
Gloomshrooms:
-These blue mushroom trees are found in the Gloom Terrace biome and are a crafting ingredient for the Gloom Research Table.
Gloom Sand:
-This block covers the floor of the Ancient Desert biome and can be smelted into Light Gray Glass.
Biolumenescent Bell Blossom:
-These large flowers can be found on the ceiling of Ancient Deserts. They emit light and can be used for decoration.
Diminite:
-This uncommon resource is found in the Quietite Falls biome and can be used to trim tools and craft torches.
Gloom Water:
-This variant of water is found in the Salt Basin and Quietite Falls biomes and can be used somewhat like normal water. When used with lava, it can become a renewable way to obtain Gloomrock and Quietite.
Gloomcaps:
-Bright green mushrooms found in the Salt Basin biome that can be used as a light source or can be made into Gloom Stew for food.
Gloom Research Table:
-Crafted with Gloom Kyanite, Gloomshroom Stems, Gold, Diamond, and Phylerite, this block can be used to obtain information about some Gloom Caves items, or it can be used to get a Gloomologist Villager, which will trade Gloom Caves resources and special items not found anywhere else.
Phylerite Ore:
This is a rare ore found in any Gloom Caves biome. It has two placements: The first placement always places one ore block, at a Y height of 0-64, and it only places in one out of four chunks. The second placement will always be buried, it can generate 1-3 ores, once per chunk, and from Y heights of 0-72. This ore can be used to create Phylerite gear, which is stronger than Netherite and has some special properties.
-A food item crafted with Gloom Salt, Gloomcaps, and a Bowl that gives six hunger points and a lot of saturation.
Phylerite Gear:
-This gear set is slightly stronger than Netherite and is crafted with a Phylerite Upgrade, a Netherite piece of gear, and a Phylerite Ingot on a Smithing Table. It can be enchanted with some special enchantments.
Tool Trims:
-These are a set of Smithing Templates that can be used to trim your Phylerite Tools with Diminite. They can only be obtained from an Expert-level Gloomologist Villager.
New Music Disc:
-There is a new music disc in this mod that can be obtained from Master-level Gloomologist Villagers.
-This enchantment is a rare enchantment that can only be found in Village Leatherworker or Armorer chests. It can be applied to Phylerite Armor alongside Protection and it will protect the wearer from a lot of damage. The maximum level is two.
Darkening:
-This enchantment can be applied to Phylerite Weapons and will inflict Darkness when hitting a target. It can be found rarely when Enchanting, on books in loot chests, and from Librarian trades. The maximum level is one.
Glowing:
-This enchantment can be applied to Phylerite Weapons and will inflict Glowing when hitting a target. It can be found rarely when Enchanting, on books in loot chests, and from Librarian trades. The maximum level is one.
Execution:
-This enchantment is very rare and can only be found in Village Weaponsmith chests. It is applied to Phylerite Axes and when hitting a target, there is a small chance to apply an extra 40 damage points to the entity that was hurt. The maximum level is one.
Leech:
-Found rarely in Village Weaponsmith chests, this enchantment will heal the wielder when they hit a target. It can only be applied to Phylerite Swords. The maximum level is one.
Levitating:
-This enchantment can be applied to Phylerite Swords and it is found in Village Cleric Chests, along with being found from trading with a Librarian. It will make the target float. The maximum level is four.
Totem Rampage:
-This very rare enchantment can be found in Village Armorer and Weaponsmith chests. It is applied to a Phylerite Chestplate, and it will give the wearer an enormous buff when they use a Totem of Undying.
-A biome found in the gloom caves made mostly of Gloomrock. Diamonds and Gold are common here since this biome is made out of Gloomrock.
Gloom Terrace:
-This biome with veins of Quietite and a floor of Gloom Soil is the rarest biome. Gloomshroom trees are found here and can be used for the Gloom Research Table.
Quietite Falls:
-This biome is made mostly of Quietite, with Gloomwater and Diminite Crystals spawning here.
Ancient Desert:
-This biome has Gloom Sand covering the floor, with Gloom Kyanite and Bioluminescent Bell Blossoms being found here.
Salt Basin:
-A biome similar to the Quietite Falls filled with Quietite and Gloom Salt. Gloomcaps are found here, and can be used for Gloom Stew.
