GlobalShop - An All-in-One Economy and Shop System

GlobalShop is a completely self-contained, zero-dependency economy, trading and social system built for Minecraft Forge servers. Say goodbye to Vault setup and economy plugins that fight each other. Drop this single jar into your mods folder and a complete server ecosystem stands up immediately.

Version 1.1.0 completes the picture — market, shop, auctions, bank, check-in, teleport, duels and titles, all in one mod.

✨ Features

🛒 Global Player Market

— Right-click the shop block to open the GUI.

  • Filter and search by price, time or seller.
  • Browse the global market and see what everyone is selling.
  • Manage your own listings under the My Listings tab.
  • List new items easily through the List Item screen.
  • Full live item information — durability, enchantments and modded items all supported.

🏪 Official Server Shop (OP-managed)

  • Unlimited stock: items configured by an OP can be bought any number of times. No restocking.
  • Daily recycle limit: each player may sell back at most 128 items per day, reset on real time. This is what keeps inflation down.
  • Fully configurable pricing: admins set buy and sell prices per item independently.
  • Stack size control: admins choose how many items a player may trade at once (1, 16, 64 …).
  • Mode switching: admins can set an item to buy-only, sell-only, or both.

🏛️ Auctions (new in 1.1.0)

A second way to sell, beside the fixed price: buyers bid, the seller sets a starting price and a minimum increment, and may add a buyout that ends it outright.

  • A bid is charged immediately — the money leaves the balance and is held by the auction. That makes bidding the same money on two lots impossible, and means a crashed auction can still refund it.
  • Outbid means refunded at once, not when the auction ends.
  • Anti-snipe: any bid inside the last 30 seconds resets the remaining time to 30 seconds. The trigger window and the reset are the same length, so the rule can only ever extend a lot, never shorten one.
  • Every settlement goes through the mailbox, never straight into an inventory.
  • One clock only: every packet carries a server timestamp and the client counts down from the difference, so a wrong local clock or a different time zone changes nothing.

💰 Bank (new in 1.1.0)

  • Deposits earn 0.5% per real day, loans charge 2% per game day. Two different clocks on purpose: a loan does not grow while the server is off, a deposit does.
  • A fixed borrowing limit, and a balance that never goes negative.
  • Interest is added to the debt first, then the wallet is drained into it; if the wallet cannot cover it, it is drained to zero.
  • The window shows your deposit, your debt, your limit and both rates.

📅 Daily Check-in (new in 1.1.0)

  • Once per day, weeks run Monday to Monday, and day seven pays seven times day one.
  • Missed days can be made up: half the reward plus a fixed fee.
  • The server judges by real date, so changing your clock does nothing.

🌀 Teleport (new in 1.1.0)

  • Random teleport with a safe-landing scan — it will not drop you into lava or the void.
  • Request teleport: ask a named player and wait for them to accept. The request arrives in chat as clickable buttons.
  • A flat 20 coins, with two separate cooldowns.

⚔️ PvP Duels (new in 1.1.0)

  • Duels both sides agree to. The loser pays 1–20% of a 30,000 stake.
  • That money goes to the winner rather than being destroyed, and neither side can end up in debt.
  • If one side logs out the duel ends, so nobody is left stuck in one.

🏷️ Custom Titles (new in 1.1.0)

  • Put a word in front of your name, up to seven characters.
  • Priced by what you type: letters and digits cost 50,000, and anything involving a symbol costs 250,000.
  • Visible server-wide — chat, rankings and the player list all show it.

🧩 Addon API (new in 1.1.0)

The code is split into four layers — api/, core/, feature/ and internal/ — and api/ is the part other mods are meant to build on. It is versioned, documented, and every package in the mod says what it is in both languages.

  • GlobalShopApi — the entry point: get the economy, claim a button for page two's grid, read the mod version.
  • EconomyService — the money contract. Swap the bundled economy for your own, or read and move balances, without touching a single line of GlobalShop.
  • BalanceChangedEvent — fires after any balance changes, on the server, after the lock is released. An addon that shows money on screen can hook this and never be a tick behind.
  • FeaturePlace — page two's grid is an API, not a hardcoded menu. Your mod can claim one of the thirty-two slots with an icon, a title and an action.

If a future version breaks api/, that is a major version. core/, feature/ and internal/ may change at any time — the package comments say so, so an addon author is not left guessing.

🛡️ OP Tools and Anti-Exploit

  • Blacklist screen (OP only): block specific items or a whole mod from being listed or crafted.
  • Rankings: see the richest players on the server, live.
  • Trade log: players can read their own full trade history, every entry tagged by type — purchase, sale, commission and auction settlement are told apart at a glance.

📬 Mailbox and Private Chat

  • Mailbox: if a buyer's inventory is full, purchases are delivered to the mailbox instead of being lost. A dedicated button sits in the main GUI.
  • From 1.1.0 the mailbox is bounded by time, not by a count: delivery is never refused because "the mailbox is full", and mail past its lifetime is deleted rather than left as a greyed-out record.
  • Private chat and trades: a safe interface for player-to-player trades and messages. Offline messages are supported; players are told about them when they log in.

👑 VIP Subscription

— Buy VIP with in-game currency, on a 14-day real-time cycle.

  • Auto-renew is supported (the balance is debited automatically).
  • While active, the indicator in the top-left of the GUI reads VIP instead of Normal.

🎛️ Interface and Reliability (new in 1.1.0)

  • The left column pages: there are more features than fit in one column, and page two is thirty-two slots held for what comes next.
  • Balances refresh themselves: every balance change is pushed to the client, so the number on screen is never a tick behind, and nobody has to remember to press refresh.

🔧 Fixed in 1.1.0

  • The balance did not always refresh. In 1.0.0, after a purchase, a payment or a reward, the number on screen could sit on the old value until you pressed refresh. 1.1.0 did not patch every feature that changes money — it put the push in the one place money leaves and enters: every successful change announces itself to the client. So no feature, present or future, can forget to refresh. Forgetting became impossible instead of something to remember.
  • An auction could list air. In 1.0.0 the stack was copied after it had been taken into escrow, and in an edge case that listed an empty auction — listed, unbuyable, and unrecoverable. 1.1.0 copies before it takes custody.
  • The bank could pay years of interest at once. A missing timestamp read as 1970, so the first settlement could hand out an enormous amount of interest. 1.1.0 repairs the timestamps on first use — it would rather underpay than mint money.

🛠️ Development Note (AI Disclosure)

This project was designed, verified and rigorously tested by a single human developer — a 17-year-old student. The code was written with the assistance of advanced AI models. Every feature, every piece of logic, every balance decision and every test was directed, verified and approved by the author. AI was used to speed up the coding, not to replace human creativity and judgement.

📦 Compatibility and Installation

  • Minecraft: 1.20.1
  • Loader: Forge (47.4.10 or equivalent)
  • Dependencies: none — no Vault, nothing else.
  • Mod compatibility: works with everything (Create, Mekanism and the rest), because it uses native ItemStack logic throughout.

Installation:

  1. Install Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 on your server and your client.
  2. Put GlobalShop.jar into the mods folder.
  3. Restart the server. Enjoy.

⚠️ From 1.1.0, the client and the server must run the same jar. The network protocol changed; a mismatch is refused outright at login. That is deliberate, not a bug.
