Global Settings V3!
Totally rewritten with these awesome features!
- Modded Support! No more losing mod keybinds or options!
- Auto-Loading toggle! Packs can now safely include the mod without issues! (Auto-loading is a global option, Not per instance)
- Java Environment Variable support for moving the location of the master file! (Use "-Dmaster.properties.location=" to change the location of the file.
- Linux will by default will point to the "XDG_CONFIG_HOME" system property by default! Take that file specifications!
- Manual Options importing! You can have all the fun of setting up an instance in one click then modify it without worrying that it will be reset! (Don't use auto-load if you want unique per instance files.)
- Options are manually updated! Got a pack set up exactly how you want? Save the options and never touch them again!
Because of the total rewrite things act a bit differently, The master file isn't populated by default anymore and auto-loading is off by default so you will need to set the mod up once beforehand to use it everywhere.
Steps to set up:
- Find whatever instance you would like to start with, More mods = better long term options.
- Set all the options how you would like them to be.
- Click the "Update Master" button in the "Options" screen.
- Place the mod in any other instances
- Click the "Load Master" button to copy the options from the master file.
- Enjoy!
the update master button isnt there, is this incompatible with the physics mod?
In reply to lnfant_anihilator:

In reply to gamer192040:
Your game is running out of ram. Open a bug report with a crashlog if you want further help.
In reply to Claycorp:
White infinite loading screen bug when used with forge 37.0.25 or higher. Can't exactly downgrade.
In reply to exiledlightoflegend:
Euh?
I tested it and built it against 1.17.1-37.0.27
Can you join the discord and send me the logs? Link is at the bottom of the description.
Hello, I want to reset my Minecraft by deleting the .minecraft so it could reinstall, but I do not want all of my mod settings like optifine, keybinds, and more to be copied, so I can paste them into the new already reset .minecraft file? And if I can, which files/ folders do I save?
Thank you.
In reply to jaykk87:
Instead of deleting, just move the whole .minecraft to another folder/drive {with or without the Saves). Or zip it somewhere. Then make your choices.
If you botch the transition, you can always go back.
Mod settings are quite clearly grouped in the folder Config, either in root, or in each profile you use. Some mods have per-world settings too (Saves).
Options save but controls do not. Please help! Using 1.12.2 version.
In reply to imtommy317:
It's all part of the same file? Not sure what's wrong as I have tested and used it.
In reply to Claycorp:
So I play on a 1.12.2 modpack that I want to make my keybinds save to. When I play on 1.8.9 to play on hypixel and switch back to the modpack and click load master they do not save.
Where is the master save file located? Thanks for theh elp
In reply to imtommy317:
It tells you in the log file
Hey there I'm back, been loving the mod but is there some way to transfer keybinds between jars? Specifically between versions. I have my keybinds in 1.12.2 and I wanted to transfer it to 1.15.2, but I'm also wondering if I could do it between 1.12.2 jars?
In reply to frankdoodlelee:
On the settings screen just click import or enable automatic importing. They changed how the settings file worked so some stuff won't work across versions so you will need to make two files for older/newer versions.
Nothing happens when I click the update master button. Do you know why this is happening? The modpack is Planetary
In reply to frankdoodlelee:
Update Master saves the current settings to the master file. If that isn't working you likely don't have permissions for that file or file space. Use the JVM argument above to move the file location if that's the case.
In reply to Claycorp:
Ah, I just booted my updated version and it worked. I thought it would bring up a menu or something. Thanks for making this mod!
In reply to frankdoodlelee:
No problem!
I didn't want to remake the whole settings UI ;)
Just to be clear, can a player use this to set up their preferred keybindings and mod configs and then easily use them with multiple packs and updates?
