Gilded Origins

A lighter armful of Origins made to fit better alongside the default ones while offering new ways to play.

IMPORTANT: You need the appropriate version of Pehkui in order to play this addon to its fullest. Download whichever one fits your modloader!

Gilded Origins is a modification of Fantastical Origins by Iritine. It aims to provide a small collection of Origins that fit nicely beside the default ones whilst still offering new ways to play. It currently offers 7 new Origins, many of which start in the Nether.

19/4/2026: Introducing two new Origins! The Canine and the Amble! Look below for info! 

ORIGIN LIST:

  1. Amphiphon: The Amphiphon aims to strike a middle ground between the Merling and other Origins that can actually survive on land. It can breathe and see clearly underwater and has access to aqua affinity, and it regenerates its health while in water! In return, it's not nearly as agile or fast as the Merling, and cannot passively heal by eating food! It's a jack of all trades, better in some area,s but worse than others! Perfect for those who want to build underwater but don't want to be too stunted on land!

  2. Dimunin: Dimunin are small people, being half the size of a normal player with the smaller hitbox to match! They also always have Luck 1, Nightvision, and never take fall damage! This all comes at the cost of only having 5 Hearts however. You're just as frail as you are harder to hit!

  3. Nobrir: Nobrir are large folk, them being half a blcok taller than a player with an equally large hitbox! In return for this, they have 5 extra Hearts, Haste 3 and Strength 1, and are immune to poison and hunger!

  4. Bound: Bound are relics from another age! They're extremely durable, but have a hard time moving around and healing themselves! Bound have 5 extra Hearts, are immune to Hunger, Exhaustion, Fall Damage, Fire Damage, Poison, Wither, and can breath underwater! They can also use their Origin Power to give themselves Regeneration 2 for 10 seconds! They however cannot swim and are unable to heal through food, them being forced to use their Origin Power or in game items to so instead!

  5. Morphiphon: The Morphiphon are the Netheric cousins to the Amphiphon! They have similar abilties, such as being Fire Resistant, being able to swim and see in lava, and they can also mine normally whilst submarged in it! They however start in the Nether, take damage from water, and can only heal while inside of lava!

  6. Exalt: Exalts are those who personify an ideal only to have fallen short of their ambitions! They start in the Nether, but always have Speed 1, Regeneration 1, and Strength 1! Their lack of Fire Resistance whilst spawning in the Nether makes them one of the hardest starts in Gilded Origins! How much do you covet their powers...?

  7. Hont: Honts are weightless beings that wander the Nether! They are have Fire Resistance and have access to Creative Flight! In return however, they start in the Nether and they only have 5 Hearts!

  8. Canine: The more aggressive counterpart to the Feline. They have few powers and don't have any movement abitlies, but they do get Strength 1 and Nightvision in exchange for only having 9 Hearts.

 

9. Amble: The better balanced reincarnation of the Smidgen. Amble are small, being only half a block tall and only having five hearts. They also start in the Nether without fire resistance and can't use Chest Armor. In exchange, they get Creative Flight and Night Vision!
