What's new
Settings you can actually reach.
The eight settings were always there, in ghostnames-client.toml. A setting nobody can find is a setting nobody has: reading a reveal range out of a config file means leaving the game, finding the folder, and knowing the file exists at all.
- A settings screen, on the vanilla options layout: reveal range, how long a name stays, fade in and out, aim leniency, line of sight, whether mobs and pets are affected, and the master switch.
- Reachable two ways. A hotkey, one press from anywhere; and an entry in the mod list, for whoever has just installed the mod and does not know a key exists. The hotkey is unbound by default, exactly like the existing toggle - in a large modpack almost every letter is taken, and a clash is something you only notice when something else stops working. Bind it under Controls → Ghost Names.
- On Fabric the mod list button comes from Mod Menu, and only if you have it. Without Mod Menu nothing changes and nothing breaks; the hotkey works either way.
- 22 new strings in all 13 languages the mod already ships.
Nothing about how names are hidden or revealed has changed.
