Gearworks

Gearworks adds all kinds of radioactive things to Minecraft. You can explore a deadly radioactive biome full of nuclear waste and a couple structures scattered around the biome. Use a radiation shield to explore the biome, but watch out because it can break. If you want to build a base in the biome, you will need to use radiation blockers to shield your base. 

Craft tools out of uranium and silver. The JEI (Just Enough Items) mod is highly recomended for to see all the items and recipies.
