What's new

Gateway of Doom 2.3.6

  • Added biome restrictions: Select allowed biomes per Key profile, including mod and datapack biomes. Chat messages display the required biomes.
  • Improved boss persistence: Health, identity, combat phases and cooldowns survive restarts. Legacy boss IDs migrate reliably.
  • Stabilized ongoing encounters: Reloaded enemies regain their Gateway AI. Wave timers pause while enemies are spawning or saved enemies are being reconnected.
  • Secured reward delivery: Large rewards are distributed gradually. Pending items survive restarts and remain available when API integrations close a Gateway.
  • Improved Key refunds: Failed refunds are saved and retried without losing or duplicating Keys.
  • Improved terrain protection: Runeroot and Golem projectiles respect mobGriefing, Hell Wards, world borders and protection events. Block entities remain protected.
  • Improved portal placement: Searching for a suitable location no longer loads additional chunks.
  • Improved configuration safety: Client and server settings are isolated. Concurrent edits no longer silently overwrite each other, and rejected drafts remain accessible.
  • Expanded item validation: On Minecraft 1.21.1 and later, invalid item components are rejected before saving, with readable error messages.
  • Improved saving: Large profiles, waves and spawn queues save reliably. Player-specific automation timers pause correctly while players are offline.
  • Limited spawn load: Large waves and boss groups spawn gradually. Empty fixed waves and oversized boss groups are rejected.
  • Fixed boss displays: Additional native boss bars are hidden for managed enemies. The Gateway’s own boss health display remains available.
  • Updated highlighting defaults: New and reset profiles highlight enemies when they are at least 20 blocks from their portal.
  • Improved usability: Selecting Vanilla or Custom portals returns directly to gameplay. Save cooldown messages and conflict dialogs are clearer.
  • Fixed duplicate mob-drop rules, corrected network handling, and updated translations and documentation.
