FutureShops 3.0.0 Beta

FutureShops 3.0 rebuilds the economy around durable escrow and introduces the Auction House and Bazaar. This is a beta release for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge servers. Back up the world before testing it on an existing server.

Added

  • Added crash recoverable escrow for money, physical currency, items, shop purchases, market orders, fees, settlements, and claims.
  • Added Lost and Found claims so undeliverable money and items remain collectible instead of being dropped or deleted.
  • Added an Auction House with timed auctions, Buy Now listings, bidding, anti sniping extensions, watchlists, player activity tabs, listing fees, exact item custody, seller profiles, item tooltips, and market statistics.
  • Added a Bazaar with limit buy orders, sell offers, instant buy and sell, partial fills, price and quantity controls, order history, claims, fees, and market statistics.
  • Added bazaar_control modes. Admin mode uses a curated product catalog. Players mode lets players browse registered items and create commodity markets.
  • Added the Bazaar registry browser. Players can search by item name, registry identifier, predictive @mod filters, and predictive #item_tag filters. Buy orders do not require the player to own the item.
  • Added the ATM interface for deposits and denomination controlled withdrawals.
  • Added wallet and physical inventory money selection for supported purchases and market funding.
  • Added support for configured currency items from other mods. FutureShops escrow still protects the request, but only futureshops:money receives mint checksums and spent mint duplication protection.
  • Added independent Auction House and Bazaar module configuration, permissions, limits, fees, schedules, moderation controls, and safe disable behavior.

Changed

  • Unified Server Shop, Player Shops, Bazaar, and Auction House navigation under the same responsive marketplace design.
  • Expanded item and listing details with seller names and skins, UUID tooltips, bid state, live supply, activity, popularity, and price history where data exists.
  • Improved player shop navigation, barter editing, cart feedback, transaction labels, time formatting, profile controls, department filters, and predictive mod search.
  • Improved compatibility messages for missing or mismatched FutureShops client and server versions.

Fixed

  • Fixed Bazaar and Auction House client crashes found during early 3.0 testing.
  • Fixed a Windows startup crash in escrow checkpoint handling.
  • Fixed Auction House listing recovery feedback and overlapping market interface elements.
  • Fixed incorrect player shop head skins, missing back navigation, title layout, ATM text wrapping, and several Bazaar and Auction House presentation regressions.
  • Fixed false FutureShops update warnings and compatibility messaging that could be mistaken for a Jade failure.

Compatibility and Migration

  • Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47 or newer, Java 17, and GeckoLib 4.4 or newer on the client and server.
  • Network protocol is 50. Clients and servers must use compatible FutureShops builds.
  • FutureShops 3.0 performs one way migration of supported legacy economy state into escrow. Back up the world, player data, configuration, and the world/futureshops directory before first launch.
  • New configuration files include futureshops-escrow.toml, futureshops-auction-house.toml, futureshops-bazaar.toml, and futureshops-client.toml.
  • Auction House and Bazaar are designed for one server process and one world directory in this release.

Beta Testing Focus

Please test upgrades on a copy of the world first. Focus on interrupted purchases, reconnects, full inventories, claims, Auction House expiry and bidding, Bazaar partial fills and cancellations, player controlled Bazaar products, physical money funding, and multiplayer client and server compatibility.
