Optional YSM Appearance Pack: 1.0.0-beta.1
This update brings per-Mind usage reports, targeted core raids, manual troop dispatch, calamity fixes, and optional custom appearances. These notes cover changes since 2.7.0. This is a beta release.
## Usage reports
- View requests, input/output tokens, reported cache hits, and usage categories for all Minds, a specific Mind, or unattributed requests.
- Requests remain assigned to the Mind that initiated them, even when names match or the connected Mind changes.
- Open the bundled offline report for trends, expensive requests, cost estimates, and downloadable summaries. Reports are generated locally without additional AI calls.
- The in-game snapshot contains up to 256 completed requests from the current server session. Historical logs can be imported separately; imports replace the snapshot to avoid double counting.
- Multiplayer reports require administrative permission. Usage records exclude prompts, responses, and API keys. Cost estimates are not provider bills or spending limits.
## Core raids and troop dispatch
- Request paid reconnaissance and a targeted assault against a hostile core through dialogue, with optional coordinates and the existing command entry.
- A scout confirms the target before squads are selected and deployed within nutrient and terrain limits.
- Improve underground, underwater, and narrow-space deployment, moving-target tracking, and safe landing searches without force-loading unknown chunks.
- Add configurable squad totals, deployment batches, costs, scout lifetime, and cooldowns. Preserve native scout arrival and departure behavior.
- Show clearer mission status and failure reasons, and improve cancellation, retreat, save recovery, and expired-task cleanup.
- Dispatch existing troops or pay to summon new troops. Moving existing units still incurs the applicable transport cost.
- Improve army-strength accounting and conservative handling of incomplete stored-unit data. Autonomous raids require confirmed, sustained enemy weakness and valid permissions.
## Gameplay fixes
- Fix Mind Girl war-target evaluation, native-unit recall permissions, and pursuit of moving cores.
- Limit excessive wartime scent-spawned units, preserve their source Mind, and account for nutrient costs on native defensive reinforcements and related generation.
- Add a default-enabled option for explicit player calamity requests to skip cultivation while paying the full summon cost. Autonomous production still uses cultivation; failed direct spawning refunds the deducted cost.
- Fix riding eligibility for naturally cultivated friendly calamities while retaining affection and ownership checks. Humanoid calamity appearances use head-top seating.
- Require a Totem of Undying, Nether Star, and Dragon Egg for the same Mind before metamorphosis, alongside existing affection and rescue conditions. Preserve recorded offerings and do not revert already cocooning or humanized Minds.
## Optional YSM integration
- Without Yes Steve Model, F8 is not registered and does not open the appearance menu. Installing YSM enables it; the main mod does not require YSM.
- Choose separate appearances for individual Mind Girls, including third-party `.ysm` files and editable folders that YSM can load.
- Browse Mind Girl and third-party categories with preview, rotation, zoom, pagination, and a model-folder shortcut.
- Hide calamity-only resources, state variants, and experimental samples from inappropriate selection lists.
- Improve model retention during standby and work. Supported authored skins include left/right crank animations and stop-work recovery; arbitrary third-party animation compatibility is not guaranteed.
- Preserve initial-form behavior and original-model fallback.
## Separate appearance addon
**SporeAI · YSM Appearance Pack** is an optional client-side addon, distributed separately from the main mod. It requires SporeAI and YSM; it is not needed to use your own third-party models.
- Includes 10 Mind Girl outfits and all nine calamities: Sieger, Howitzer, Stahl, Hohlfresser, Gazenbreacher, Kraken, Leviathan, Hindenburg, and Verfall.
- Includes adaptation, nuclear, and damaged-part variants: 57 calamity directories plus 10 Mind Girl directories, for 67 total—not 67 different creatures.
- Adds distinct outfits, hairstyles, palettes, eyes, footwear, and accessories. Stahl carries a long-handled scythe with revised poses and combat presentation; Verfall has folded ground wings, deployed flight wings, flapping, and adjusted visual attack origins.
- Mind Girl outfits cover symbiosis, spring, patrol, evening, kimono, academy, travel, and mushroom-parasol styles. Improve clothing layers and arm/sleeve connections; the latest Spore Academy outfit has a short skirt without its former apron or waist pendant.
- Adds 19 individual Chinese and English outfit/character descriptions. Only three outfits retain the Wine Fox encounter story; the others focus on their own personality and clothing.
- Display credits are streamlined to original model creator 完美冻结 and adaptation author 霜星. Original attribution records remain bundled; model assets retain CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
- Models install automatically into YSM's custom directory. Identical files are left alone, and a conflicting local edit preserves the entire model. Unfinished flower/sporepod samples are excluded.
## Handbook and installation
- Expand the Chinese and English handbook with reports, raids, dispatch, calamity summons, riding, and troubleshooting. Correct the Dragon Egg requirement, creative-tab availability, and book-delivery checks.
- Handbook text is AI-assisted reference material; current gameplay and configuration take precedence.
- Validated environment: NeoForge 21.1.248, Spore 2.2.0j, Java 21. The YSM bridge specifically targets **2.6.5-neoforge+mc1.21.1**. Use matching Patchouli for the handbook; Create and TACZ remain optional integrations.
- Replace the old main-mod JAR and use matching client/server main-mod builds. Install the appearance addon on clients only.
- Keep existing custom models. If an older model conflicts, back up that model outside `custom` before adopting the bundled version. Uninstalling the addon does not delete exported models.
## Validation
The release candidate has a successful local build and 2,468 passing automated tests. In-game checks covered F8 without YSM, with YSM alone, and a fresh addon installation recognizing all 67 directories. Supported Academy crank playback and post-work model retention were also checked.
The latest description-only revision was rebuilt and packaged; earlier gameplay evidence remains unchanged. Full dedicated-server, multiplayer, every calamity combat/damage state, and all movement/handle-alignment scenarios have not been revalidated. Please include versions, reproduction steps, and relevant logs when reporting issues.
