Fundamentals 0.11.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
- Magnets have grades: NdFeB, dysprosium NdFeB, samarium cobalt and alnico. The Factory's motors, generators, stators, electric pump and voltmeter remember which they were built with, and lose output and then their magnetism for good as they heat past it.
- Zirconium and hafnium from zircon in beach sands and syenite (chlorination, the hafnium split, Kroll). Zirconia and yttria-stabilised zirconia, which coats the turbine blade.
- Beryllium from beryl in pegmatites and bertrandite in tuff beds. Beryllium copper. Beryllium dust is a hazard.
- Lanthanum oxide is now a cracking catalyst for heavy oil. Naphtha cracks without it, and the separation plant can be built from stainless steel, so neither chain needs the other.
- Aged metal looks its stage, and ageing is three times slower. The inert storage drum is a proper drum with a goggle readout.
- A red spirit thermometer.
- Plastic is one colour and a little more solid; the plastic pump is redrawn; dyed pipes no longer lose their middle.
- Fixes: a pickup dupe on ageing drops, the argon canister deleting overflow, glass pipes resisting acid, tuff dissolving in HCl, and less work per tick for pipes, heat and mixer-settlers.
