🛹 Fun Stuff
A box of toys for your server. No lore, no progression, no grind — just eight things that are genuinely fun to mess around with.
Fun Stuff is an addonpack for the Palladium mod built around one idea: every item should do something you actually want to show your friends.
🛹 Skateboard
Hold it and you ride it — the board appears under your feet and you drop into a skater stance. Then land the tricks:
- Kickflip — toe-flick hop
- Heelflip — heels kicked out the other way
- 360 Shove-it — full spin
- Manual — hold a wheelie
- Backflip — exactly what it says
- Powerslide — carve and skid to a stop
Every normal jump also throws out a random aerial trick, so you never see the same one twice in a row. Chain tricks together to build a stunt combo meter with style points.
🛸 Hoverboard
A big anti-grav deck that actually flies — no wheels, just glowing thrusters. One clean ability: Boost, a hard four-second zoom with jet trails.
🔫 AK-47 · Glock · Desert Eagle
Real guns with a real reload button — and no bullet crafting, ever.
- Each gun has its own magazine size and an ammo counter on your HUD
- AK-47 — 30-round full-auto spray
- Glock — fast, light, 17 rounds
- Desert Eagle — 7 rounds that hit like a truck, with knockback
- Run dry and you get a click and a RELOAD warning — hit reload and get back in it
⚔️ Lightsabers (blue, green, red)
Long glowing blades with proper melee movesets, plus the Force:
- Force Push — blast everything away from you
- Force Pull — drag them in
- Force Jump — launch skyward and land soft
- Saber Throw — your saber leaves your hand, spins out on a curving arc slicing everything it passes, then comes back to you
🧩 Rubik's Cube
Not a prop — a real, fully simulated cube. All 54 stickers, twelve genuine face turns (U, R, F, D, L, B and their reverses), and a scramble button that rolls 25 random moves.
Press Inspect and the cube is projected in 3D in front of you so you can read every side while you work. There's a timer, a move counter and a personal best — solve it for real, exactly as hard as the one on your desk.
🎵 Boombox
Place it or carry it. Plays music discs out loud to everyone nearby — and your own songs.
Drop your own audio files into the included resource pack and the boombox gets three custom track slots. Full DJ controls: Pause, Resume, and a Volume cycle (Low / Medium / High).
📦 REQUIREMENTS
This is an addonpack, not a standalone mod. You need:
| Required | Why |
|---|---|
| Minecraft 1.20.1 — Fabric | Game version |
| Fabric API | Core |
| Palladium 4.5.0+ | The framework this pack runs on |
| GeckoLib 4.8+ | The ride-on board models |
| KubeJS (+ Rhino, Architectury) | Ammo, flight, cube engine, combo meter |
Recommended: Better Combat — enables the lightsaber melee movesets.
💾 INSTALLATION — please read, there is an extra step!
- Install Fabric for 1.20.1 and all the required mods above.
- Drop
funstuff-1.0.15.jarinto yourmodsfolder. - Open the jar with any zip program (7-Zip, WinRAR, or rename to
.zip) and copy out the two script files:funstuff_server.js→.minecraft/kubejs/server_scripts/funstuff_client.js→.minecraft/kubejs/client_scripts/
- Launch the game. Everything is in the Fun Stuff creative tab.
⚠️ Step 3 is not optional. Gun ammo, hoverboard flight, the cube engine and the combo meter all live in those scripts.
On a server
Jar in the server's mods folder, funstuff_server.js in the server's kubejs/server_scripts/. Each player needs the jar and funstuff_client.js on their client.
🎧 ADDING YOUR OWN MUSIC
The pack creates a resource pack folder for you at .minecraft/resourcepacks/FunStuffMusic/.
- Convert your song to OGG Vorbis. (Audacity: File → Export → Export as OGG. If a converter offers a choice, pick Vorbis — Minecraft cannot play Opus, and it will fail silently.)
- Name the files
track1.ogg,track2.ogg,track3.oggand drop them inFunStuffMusic/assets/funstuff/sounds/custom/. - Enable FunStuffMusic in Options → Resource Packs.
- Hold the boombox and hit Custom Track 1/2/3.
💡 Windows tip: Windows hides the .ogg extension. If your file already ends in .ogg, just name it track1 — typing track1.ogg can secretly create track1.ogg.ogg, which won't be found. Turn on "File name extensions" in Explorer's View menu to be sure.
Only players who have the same audio files will hear them — sounds are client-side, so share the resource pack with your friends. Anyone without it just hears silence; nothing breaks.
