Description
Make every meal part of your adventure.
Full Course Delight is an addon for Farmer’s Delight that gives cooking a lasting role in your progression—even in the endgame.
Preparing and eating food raises your Chef Level and Food Mastery. Use that experience to serve full-course meals with stronger bonuses, share their benefits with friends, and eventually design your own Life Full Course.
Alongside stat bonuses, meals offer special abilities such as an extra jump in midair, improved crop harvests, healing after teleportation, and walking on lava.
Requirements
・Minecraft 1.20.1
・Forge 47.4.0 or later within the 47.x series
・Farmer’s Delight 1.3.4 or a compatible later 1.3.x release
The supported addons listed below are optional.
Getting Started
Craft a Chef’s Notebook using the recipe below.

Keep the notebook in your inventory while preparing or eating food to develop your Chef Level and Food Mastery. Tasting a food for the first time also grants bonus Chef Experience.
Right-click the notebook to view your progress, browse foods and full courses, and inspect your current meal effects.
By default, Chef Level can reach 500, and each food’s mastery can reach Level 5. Progression settings can be adjusted in the configuration.
Standard Full Courses
Craft a Full Course Table and Full Course Chair.

The table requires a clear 3 × 2 block area. Place chairs directly beside its edges, then prepare your meal:
-
Right-click the table and select a full course.
-
Insert the required ingredients.
-
Adjust the basic effect percentages within your available limits.
-
Sit on a chair at the table, open the table interface, and select Begin meal.
-
Remain seated until the meal finishes.
Your Chef Level and mastery of the foods used in the course determine its maximum basic bonuses. Special effects depend on the selected course.
After completing a meal:
・You receive its basic bonuses and special effects.
・Your hunger and saturation are fully restored.
・Completing a particular course for the first time awards the player who started it 100 Chef XP, even without a notebook.
Meal effects last until you die, complete another full course, or remove them through the notebook. Only one full course can be active at a time.
Effect values are fixed when the meal begins. Further progression or changes to your saved Life Full Course do not alter existing effects; eat another meal to update them.
Life Full Course
The Life Full Course is the mod’s endgame feature: a personalized meal with effects you choose yourself.
It unlocks at Chef Level 50 by default. Open the Chef’s Notebook to create it:
-
Choose five different foods with maximum Food Mastery.
-
Review your available point budget.
-
Allocate points to basic bonuses and special effects.
-
Save your recipe.
Your point budget combines your Chef Level, the total nutritional value of the five selected foods, and your accumulated mastery gains across all recorded foods.
Nutrition includes both hunger and saturation restored. Each mastery level gained above a food’s starting level contributes 0.1 points, with the final budget rounded down.
Basic bonuses include mining speed, movement speed, attack damage, attack speed, armor, and maximum health. You can also spend points on available special effects. Some signature effects remain exclusive to their standard full courses.
To serve your creation, select Life Full Course at the table, supply one of each chosen food, sit down, and begin the meal.
Multiplayer: Share Your Cooking
One set of ingredients serves every participating player.
Players seated on Full Course Chairs directly beside the table’s edges when the meal begins can join. Stay seated through the meal to receive its benefits.
Everyone receives the same effects, calculated from the player who prepared and started the course—not from each guest’s own Chef Level or Food Mastery.
Guests do not need to meet the Life Full Course unlock level to enjoy one prepared by another player.
Supported Addons
Version 1.0.0 includes 19 standard full courses when all supported addons are installed.
| Mod | Full Courses |
|---|---|
| Farmer’s Delight | Autumn, Chicken, Japanese, Meat, Mutton, Vegetable |
| Ocean’s Delight | Ocean |
| Ender’s Delight | Ender |
| My Nether’s Delight | Hot, Ghast, Strider |
| End’s Delight | Ender Dragon, Shulker |
| Twilight’s Delight | Naga, Scorching, Forest, Maze, Lich, Twilight |
These addons are optional. Install the ones you want, together with their own required dependencies, to make their courses available.
Suggestions for additional addon support are welcome!
Configuration and Datapacks
Configuration options let you adjust the Chef Level cap, progression rates, first-taste bonus, Food Mastery requirements, Life Full Course unlock level, and foods excluded from progression.
Datapacks can add or modify standard full courses using JSON files in:
data/<namespace>/full_courses/<course_id>.json
The bundled definitions provide examples of ingredients, basic bonuses, special effects, and platter displays.
The mod loads up to 128 standard full-course definitions, including its bundled courses. Definitions exceeding this limit are skipped and an error is written to the log. The personalized Life Full Course is handled separately.
Debug and Admin Commands
These commands are available for testing and administration. They require permission level 2, typically provided by enabling cheats in singleplayer or granting the appropriate operator permissions on a server.
| Command | Function |
|---|---|
/fullcourse show <player> |
Displays the player’s Chef Level, current level XP, and number of recorded foods. |
/fullcourse chef <player> <level> |
Sets the player’s Chef Level to the specified level. |
/fullcourse food <player> <item_id> <level> |
Sets mastery for a specific eligible food. |
/fullcourse reset <player> confirm |
Clears the player’s Chef XP and food records. |
For example, to set yourself to Chef Level 50 and maximize apple mastery with the default settings:
/fullcourse chef @s 50
/fullcourse food @s minecraft:apple 5
/fullcourse show @s
Replace @s with a player name when targeting someone else or running commands from the server console.
Level-setting commands respect the configured caps: Chef Level 500 and Food Mastery Level 5 by default. They set XP to the starting threshold of the specified level. Reopen the notebook afterward to see the updated records.
The reset command clears progression records. It does not clear saved Life Full Course recipes, first-completion bonus records, or currently active meal effects. To remove active effects, use Remove full course effects in the Chef’s Notebook.
Credits and Inspiration
Full Course Delight is an addon for Farmer’s Delight. Its concept was inspired by Toriko, created by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, and the meal systems of the Monster Hunter series.
