A passion-project Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.1, inspired by *Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood*. Pick a race, choose a school of alchemy, learn the principle of Equivalent Exchange the hard way, and — if you're foolish enough — touch the Truth.

Features

- Three races with their own traits:

- Human (balanced bonuses, 35% bonus alchemy XP), Alchemist (skips the Human-only Truth gate to schools), and Ishvalan (innate +4 hearts, +10% attack, and a berserker scaling that hits harder as health drops).

- Five schools of alchemy, each with eight abilities laid out across the 1–100 leveling ladder, capstone at 100:

- Flame

- Metal

- Earth

- Deconstruction

- Explosion

- Levels 1–100 with a flattened curve calibrated for ~7–8 hours of focused play. Stronger mobs grant proportionally more XP (capped at 10× base for boss-tier).

- +1 permanent heart every 5 levels — 30 hearts at level 100, persists across death, stacks with race bonuses.

- Body Loss & Automail — failed transmutations cost limbs; rebuild with Iron, Steel, or Carbon Fiber automail at the Automail Engineer's Bench.

- The Truth — interact with a Truth Pedestal as a Human to learn alchemy at the cost of your body.

- Philosopher's Stone & Soul Crystals — charge stones with souls, bypass Equivalent Exchange, and empower your abilities.

- Homunculus path — die holding a charged Philosopher's Stone and you don't die. You become something else. Pick a Sin — Envy, Lust, Greed, Pride, Sloth, Gluttony, or Wrath — and unlock its power as you level.

- Vessel Binding — bind a Soul-Bound Ally that follows and fights for you.

- Chimera fusion — combine creatures inside a chalk circle.

- Theory of Alchemy — an in-game lore book whose pages unlock as you progress.

- Loadout editor — a 9-slot loadout you can rebuild on the fly, with a B-toggled hotbar overlay and number-key casting.

- Custom mobs — Amestrian Soldiers, Ishvalins, all seven homunculi, Father, and Chimeras, animated with GeckoLib.

- New biomes & structures — the Wasteland (with a Military Checkpoint and Lust's lab) and the Ishvalin Desert.

Getting started

1. Roll a character and pick a race the first time you load the world.

2. If you're a Human, find a Truth Pedestal and decide whether the price is worth it.

3. Once you have alchemy, pick a school and start casting from your loadout (default `B` to open).

4. Kill mobs to level up — bigger mobs give more XP. Hearts arrive every 5 levels.

5. Read the *Theory of Alchemy* lore book to unlock the world's deeper systems.
