From Afar is a Minecraft horror mod focused on creating an unsettling presence that watches, follows, and hunts you from a distance.

The creature doesn’t simply appear and attack. It can observe you from far away, pursue you, disappear, and return when you least expect it. Encounters are designed to feel unpredictable, making you question whether you actually saw something in the distance.

Phase 1 — Watching
The creature spawns far away and watches you from a distance.

Phase 2 — Pursuit
The creature spawns farther away and actively pursues you for a couple of minutes. It may eventually despawn or get close enough to progress the encounter.

Phase 3 — Close Encounter
The creature spawns much closer to you, but only remains there for a couple of seconds before disappearing.

Phase 4 — Attack
The creature fully spawns nearby and attacks you.

From Afar is meant to make you feel like you're never completely alone.
