Advanced Frogs 🐸
Hello everyone!
Introducing my second mod that makes frogs actually useful! 🐸
Now you can tame frogs using Slimeballs and breed them with Magma Cream.
Tamed frogs will hunt certain mobs and drop 1 random item from the list:
- Bee → Honeycomb Block, Honey Block, Wild Beehive
- Silverfish → String, Cobweb, Bone
- Zombie Nautilus → Prismarine Crystals, Quartz, Nautilus Shell
- Vex → Bone Meal, Wind Charge, Phantom Membrane
- Endermite → Ender Pearl, Eye of Ender, Shulker Shell
Frog Interaction 🐸
- Tamed frogs now display their name above them.
- Right-click (RMB): toggle between following or sitting.
- Shift + Right-click: opens frog inventory with 6 upgrade slots:
- Top 3 slots: Storage
- Bottom 3 slots: Upgrades
Upgrades (Bottom Slots) 🐸
- Nether Star → Expands storage in upper slots (chest/barrel/ender chest/shulker).
- Amethyst Shard → Player heals to full health when sleeping near frog.
- Netherite Ingot → Storage in frog gets full 27 slots (otherwise 18).
- Echo Shard → Frog moves faster and custom mob eating radius ×5.
- Glowstone Dust → Player can safely sleep near hostile mobs.
- Redstone → Frog triggers redstone signal (~5 blocks) when eating mobs.
- Phantom Membrane → Frog jumps higher.
- Heart of the Sea → Frog swims faster.
- Armadillo/Turtle Shell → Frog’s max health ×3.
- Emerald Block → Player gets trading discount near frog.
- Nether Quartz → Player gains 2× experience.
All upgrade effects only work when placed in the bottom slots.
Why use this mod? 🐸
- Frogs are now one of the most useful and adorable mobs in Minecraft.
- Some upgrades, like Redstone, allow you to create better auto farms.
- Vexes are no longer a threat when looting mansions.
- Create your own addons with new upgrades and tag this mod — I’ll test every addon!
