A mysterious lump of mud with a face.
You may not know it yet, but your world is missing a friend. A quiet companion. A wise mentor. A talented musician. A questionable alchemist.
A muddy little creature with an excellent butt.
That friend is Mud Buddy.
At first glance, Mud Buddy appears to be nothing more than a small mud statue. Harmless. Silent. Decorative.
This is a lie.
Crafted from a block of quartz, a block of mud, and an Eye of Ender (in any order, because Mud Buddy believes rules are more of a suggestion), this strange little block can be placed anywhere in your world to keep you company on your adventures.
Need someone to watch over your base?
Mud Buddy is there.
Need emotional support while mining?
Mud Buddy is there.
Need somebody to stare silently into the distance while you make increasingly questionable building decisions?
Mud Buddy is definitely there.
Simply right-click your muddy companion and it will share one of its many "Drops of Wisdom"—mysterious, philosophical, surprisingly deep, and occasionally completely absurd thoughts about life, existence, caves, dirt, and the nature of reality itself.
Some messages may inspire you.
Some may confuse you.
Some may leave you wondering whether the mud understands far more than it should.
Along the way, interacting with Mud Buddy can also unlock special achievements, because even sentient mud deserves recognition.
But Mud Buddy is no longer content with simply dispensing wisdom.
Recently...
It developed an appetite.
You can now feed items directly to Mud Buddy, who will happily consume, chew, process, and eventually spit something back out. This creates an entirely unique crafting system unlike anything else in Minecraft.
No crafting table.
No furnace.
Just a mysterious mud creature eating your belongings and deciding what they should become.
Perfectly normal.
Each interaction comes with custom sounds and animations that make Mud Buddy feel strangely alive. Its tastes are still developing, but future updates will continue expanding the list of things it can consume and transform.
For now, one of its favorite snacks is apples.
Feed Mud Buddy an apple and you may discover the Muddy Apple.
Feed it a golden apple and you may obtain the Golden Muddy Apple.
These muddy delicacies behave similarly to their vanilla counterparts, but with one important improvement: they grant the exclusive "Wisdom of the Mud" effect.
This mysterious blessing is a more powerful and unpredictable version of the vanilla Luck effect, bestowed directly by Mud Buddy itself.
Whether that is a good thing remains open to interpretation.
But Mud Buddy's talents don't end there.
It has also discovered art.
Feed it any banner pattern and it will transform it into one of nine unique Mud Buddy banner patterns, each proudly displaying its beautiful muddy face.
Finally, your banners can celebrate what truly matters.
Mud.
And if that wasn't enough decoration, the mod also introduces a brand-new 1×2 painting, allowing you to bring even more muddy culture into your home, castle, laboratory, secret underground base, or suspicious cave shrine.
But perhaps the most unexpected discovery of all is this:
Mud Buddy can sing.
Feed it any music disc—yes, even discs from other mods—and it may reward you with one of six original songs performed entirely by Mud Buddy itself.
The current collection includes:

• I, the Rising Mud
• Made of You and Mud
• Slow Mud Blues
• Mud Buddy Flow
Each song reveals a different side of your muddy companion.
Some are thoughtful.

Collect them all and experience the complete musical journey of the most talented mud creature ever discovered.

And quite possibly the beginning of something much bigger.
Whether you're decorating your base, collecting unique banner patterns, hunting down every song, experimenting with muddy recipes, or simply looking for a weird little friend to accompany you on your adventures, Mud Buddy always has something new to offer.
It fits perfectly into survival worlds, multiplayer servers, creative builds, roleplay adventures, and anywhere else that could benefit from a little mystery, humor, and existential mud-based wisdom.

Estas deliciosas aberraciones culinarias funcionan de forma similar a sus equivalentes vanilla, pero cuentan con una mejora importante: otorgan el efecto exclusivo "Sabiduría del Barro".
Esta misteriosa bendición es una versión más potente e impredecible del efecto Suerte de Minecraft, concedida directamente por Mud Buddy.
Que eso sea algo bueno o no queda a tu criterio.
Pero los talentos de Mud Buddy no terminan ahí.
También ha descubierto el arte.
Si le das cualquier patrón para estandartes, lo transformará en uno de los nueve patrones exclusivos de Mud Buddy, todos ellos decorados con su hermosa cara embarrada.
Por fin tus estandartes podrán representar lo que realmente importa.
El barro.
