FPV To Minecraft Beta-1.20.1-V1.1.8
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Explosion toggle command: /fpvdrones explosive enable / disabled.
Key bindings: G — exit any drone. F — interact (opens a menu: connect controller, battery, refuel/drain fuel, connect laptop — Scroll + F or right-click). F on Orlan-10 — focus the image. B on Lancet — dive on target. C (Orlan-10, FP-1, Lancet) — Freelook, free view around the central point while in flight. R (rebindable) — fire missile. Mouse wheel — zoom on Orlan-10. M or right-click on a drone on the ramp — interactive map. SHIFT + right-click on a downed drone — drain fuel.
Drones:
- FP-1 — launches from a ramp (place the ramp → place the drone on its hitbox via right-click/F3+B → refuel → set a target via the BetaFlight computer → right-click the drone to launch). Flyable in first person, physics modeled after a real airplane. Can be fitted with APKWS guided missiles (aim at the wing hardpoint); laser designation for improved accuracy is planned. Missiles are currently unlimited (known bug, fix coming).
- "Lyuty" — a wheeled drone, launched by striking it from behind or pushing it while fueled, from any position or orientation. Wheel-related physics bugs have been fixed.
- "Lancet" — a loitering munition. B key — dive on target; once triggered, course can no longer be changed, closing speed is 300 km/h. Works best with a known target: launch along a route on the map → switch to first-person → aim → press B.
- Orlan-10 — reconnaissance UAV. Zoom with the mouse wheel, focus with F.
- Both (Lancet, Orlan-10) are in testing — each has its own OSD with corner brackets, mimicking the real drone's interface; landing (including parachute landing) isn't implemented yet but is planned.
Fuel — required by FP-1 and "Lyuty." Not craftable yet (take it from creative). Can be drained from destroyed drones via SHIFT + right-click.
3D collisions — downed drones and "Lyuty" can be walked on, pushed, and hit; they react to other drones, to surrounding blocks, and can be knocked around.
Models — mesh support added, so models aren't limited to cubes and can have more complex shapes.
Interactive map — shows all drones a player has launched, their route, and the player's own position (player heading isn't shown yet). You can edit the route or take full manual control of a drone. Waypoints now support speed and altitude settings (altitude carries over to the next point but can be overridden there). Added a loiter circle via the "Loiter here" button. Significantly less laggy than in older versions.
Explosion damage/radius — configured inside the mod's jar file (right-click .jar → Open with → zip → Data → Drones). The root config (server or client) only holds a true/false flag allowing explosions at all — if that flag is false, nothing will explode even if a radius/power value is set.
Drone interaction — reworked: hovering over a drone now opens a selection menu instead of the old unclear manual setup (connect controller/battery/laptop, refuel/drain). Some players found this less convenient — feedback is welcome in the comments.
