Requires Geckolib

Forsakens panthers is a mod that adds tamable Leopards, Jaguars, Lions and Tigers to minecraft, aswell as their hybrids Lepjags, Leopons, Jaglions, Ligers, Tiguars and the almost mythical Congolese Spotted Lion.

Taming:

Wild Leopards, Jaguars Lions and Tigers can be encountered when exploring the world, but will see the player only as another piece of potential prey. In order to obtain a tame individual, a player must first capture two wild specimens and feed them any type of raw meat in order for them to breed. The newborn cub can then be tamed, if one manages to separate it from its parents.

Hybrids have to be bred from wild or tame animals of different species, but can then be tamed as normal.

Once adult any tame bigcat will be able to be ridden and most can be commanded to either wait or prowl the area. A prowling bigcat will independently hunt in order to heal itself.

Species:

Leopard

Leopards are the smallest among the bigcats, but their speed and athleticism makes more than up for it. Able to scale vertical surfaces with ease Leopards are most at home in areas with rough terrain or sparse forest cover.

This agility makes wild Leopards dangerous despite their size and tame ones valuable allies.

Tame Leopards can scale wall while carrying a rider and will pass this ability onto their hybrids.

Jaguars

The second smallest among the cats, the jaguar is suprisingly strong for its size and capable of a short burst of high speed after locking onto its target. At home in the densest of Jungles the jaguar excells when striking out of ambush.

Being famously the most difficult bigcat to train, tame jaguar cannot be commanded to wait in place and will always prowl the area in search of prey. Making it extremely important to either cage it or heavily secure livestock pens when having a tame Jaguar around.

If its rider hit a target a mounted jaguar will gain a large burst of speed as it rushes the target. This ability is passed down to jaguar hybrids.

Lion

At home in the savannah and other arid landscapes, the lion fiercely protects its territory against anything it considers a threat. Lions large sizes and protective manest give them a great resitance to damage. Prides of lions will not only hunt, but protect their territory from hostily mobs aswell.

This innate hostility towards monsters makes tame lions great for defending structures, as a pride of lions can easily clear an area of threats. Lions pass their bulk and natural armour onto their hybrids, but not their hostility for monsters.

Tiger

The largest of the bigcats, tiger are just as rare as they are powerfull. Rarely found within the dark and flower forest, a wild tigers speed and strenght make it an extreme threat and capturing a breeding pair for taming can be very difficult.

Even a tame tigers with a rider on their back can still leap 5 block straight into the air from a standstill, but this ability is as dangerous to the rider as it is usefull, as a miscalculated leap can easily smash its rider into the ceiling of a cave and even the landing after such jumps can be dangerous for unarmoured rider.

Hybrids:

Lepjag

A hybrid between Leopard and Jaguar, the Lepjag combines the best of both. The jaguar speed and strenght in combination with the leopards agility and obedience make it more formidable than either parent.

Unlike most hybrids lepjags arent sterile.

Leopon

The Leopon combines the Leopards agility and Lions strenght in a jack of all trades that might not beat either of its parents in their field, but also doesnt have to.

Jaglion

The offspring of a Lion and a Jaguar, the Jaglion posesses a unique combination of bulk, strenght and burst speed.

Tiguar

This extremely rare hybrid is the offspring of a jaguar and a tiger. With the tigers size and ability to leap added to the burst speed of the jaguar, let this hybrid surpass both its parents in capacity.

Liger

This iconic cross between Lion and Tiger grows to truly monstrous proportions. Slowed down by its size and lacking the Tigers ability to leap the Liger makes up for it by surpassing both of them combined in bulk.

When ridden into combat a tame Liger can plow through hordes of monsters like a bulldozer.

Congolese Spotted Lion

Not from the Congo and only Half a Lion, this unique cat is the second generation hybrid of a Lepjag and a Lion. By gaining the Lions size this hybrid improves upon the strenghts of both Leopard and Jaguar.

This hybrid Gained its unique name from being paraded around under the guise of being some exotic beast instead of a manmade hybrid in the early 1900s.
