Description
Forgeworks adds two endgame alloy tiers built entirely from vanilla materials — no new ores to hunt, no new dimensions. Everything is crafted at a normal crafting table and shows up in the recipe book and JEI.
Obsidian Alloy is the first tier. Surround a gold ingot with obsidian and diamonds to forge an ingot, then craft a full set of tools, a sword, a bow, armor, and a hammer. Tools sit above diamond with 2,400 durability and mine everything a netherite pickaxe can.
Crying Alloy is the top tier. Wrap an Obsidian Alloy ingot in crying obsidian and netherite scrap and you get a violet‑veined metal that is almost impossible to wear out: 40,000 durability on tools, 60,000 on the hammer. Every Crying Alloy item is fire‑proof (it won't burn in lava), and wearing any single piece of Crying Alloy armor gives you permanent Fire Resistance. The Crying Alloy bow fires arrows 25% faster, and the horned great helm lets everyone know who's the boss of the Nether.
Hammers mine a 3×3 area with one swing, using one durability per block broken. Sneak to mine a single block for precision work. Hammers respect tool tiers — they won't break what the matching pickaxe can't.
All items repair with their own ingot in an anvil and accept normal enchantments (Mending and Unbreaking work as expected).
Recipes at a glance: Obsidian Alloy ingot = 4 obsidian + 4 diamond around a gold ingot. Crying Alloy ingot = 4 crying obsidian + 4 netherite scrap around an Obsidian Alloy ingot. Hammer = 3 ingots across the top, ingot‑stick‑ingot, stick. Tools, armor and bows use the standard vanilla shapes with ingots in place of the usual material.
Requires NeoForge for Minecraft 26.3. Works on servers (install on both sides). Originally built for a family zombie‑survival server; all art and code is original.
