ForgeEdit
Powerful WorldEdit-style building and editing tools for Minecraft Forge.
ForgeEdit is a feature-packed world editing mod designed for builders, server administrators, map creators, and anyone who wants to make large-scale changes without placing or removing every block by hand.
Built for Minecraft 26.3 and Forge 66.0.2, ForgeEdit provides selection tools, bulk editing, terrain manipulation, brushes, patterns, masks, schematics, clipboard operations, undo/redo, and much more—all from one mod.
Whether you're constructing a huge build, reshaping terrain, copying structures, cleaning up an area, or working with schematics, ForgeEdit gives you the tools to get it done quickly.
Selection Tools
ForgeEdit uses a familiar two-position selection system.
/wandgives you the ForgeEdit selection wand.- Left-click with the wand to set Position 1.
- Right-click to set Position 2.
/pos1and/pos2can also set positions manually./sizedisplays information about your current selection.- Wand and command selections use the same selection.
- Selections are stored separately for each player.
Core Editing
Quickly modify entire selected regions.
/set <block>/replace <from> <to>/walls <block>/outline <block>/hollow/center <block>/count <block>- Air can be used in replacement operations.
- Vanilla and registered modded blocks are supported.
Clipboard Tools
Copy entire builds and move them wherever you need them.
/copy/cut/paste/move <distance> [direction]/stack <amount> [direction]/Frotate <90|180|270>/flip <x|y|z>
ForgeEdit maintains a separate clipboard for each player.
Clipboard data can preserve much more than just basic blocks, including:
- Block states
- Stair orientations
- Sign text
- Chest and container contents
- Block-entity data
- Armor stands
- Armor stand equipment
- Other supported entity data
- Entity passengers
Pasted entities are assigned new UUIDs, allowing copied entities to coexist safely with their originals.
Shape Generation
Create large shapes instantly.
/sphere <block> <radius>/hsphere <block> <radius>/cyl <block> <radius> <height>/hcyl <block> <radius> <height>/pyramid <block> <size>/hpyramid <block> <size>/line <block>
Generated shapes are positioned in front of the player to reduce the chance of becoming trapped inside them.
Terrain Tools
ForgeEdit also includes tools designed specifically for terrain and environmental editing.
/overlay <block>/naturalize/smooth [iterations]/drain <radius>/fixwater <radius>/fixlava <radius>/green/snow/thaw/extinguish <radius>/removeabove <size>/removebelow <size>/removenear <block> <radius>
These tools make it much easier to clean, reshape, repair, and naturalize large areas.
Brush System
Turn a blaze rod into a powerful building brush.
Use:
/brush tool
Then configure your brush with commands including:
/brush sphere <block> <radius>/brush hsphere <block> <radius>/brush cyl <block> <radius> <height>/brush hcyl <block> <radius> <height>/brush smooth <radius> [iterations]/brush info/brush none
Right-clicking with the brush applies the selected operation.
Brush placement is offset from the clicked surface to help prevent the player from becoming trapped inside generated geometry.
Each player has their own active brush configuration.
Patterns
Patterns allow an operation to use multiple blocks instead of filling everything with one material.
ForgeEdit supports weighted percentage-based patterns, for example:
/pattern 50%minecraft:stone,30%minecraft:cobblestone,20%minecraft:andesite
Pattern commands include:
/pattern <weighted-pattern>/pattern info/pattern none/pset/preplace <from>/replacenear <radius> <from> <to>
Patterns support registered vanilla and modded blocks.
Masks
Masks control which existing blocks ForgeEdit is allowed to modify.
For example:
/mask minecraft:stone
This restricts supported masked operations to existing stone blocks.
Commands include:
/mask <block>/mask info/mask none
Masks and patterns are stored separately for each player.
Undo & Redo
Made a mistake?
ForgeEdit includes:
/undo/redo- Up to 20 undo levels
Major editing operations, brushes, clipboard operations, shapes, patterns, masks, and terrain tools integrate with the editing history.
ForgeEdit Schematics
ForgeEdit includes its own persistent schematic system using the .feschem format.
Commands include:
/save <name>/load <name>/schematics/delschematic <name>
ForgeEdit schematics persist across world/server restarts and can preserve:
- Blocks
- Block states
- Directional properties
- Sign data
- Container contents
- Block entities
- Entities
- Armor stands and their equipment
Older ForgeEdit schematic files remain supported.
WorldEdit/Sponge .schem Support
ForgeEdit also includes compatibility with Sponge Schematic v3 .schem files.
Commands include:
/exportschem <name>/importschem <name>/schemlist
The .schem system supports block palettes, block states, compressed schematic storage, and registered vanilla/modded blocks.
Imported schematics are loaded directly into your ForgeEdit clipboard and can then be pasted, rotated, flipped, undone, and redone.
Biome data is intentionally not included.
Multiplayer & Server Support
ForgeEdit is designed with multiplayer use in mind.
- Operator permission protection
- Per-player selections
- Per-player clipboards
- Per-player brushes
- Per-player patterns
- Per-player masks
- Shared persistent schematic storage
- Large-operation protection
Editing commands require the appropriate server permissions, helping prevent regular players from making unauthorized world edits.
Safety
Large world-editing operations can be demanding, so ForgeEdit includes a built-in 1,000,000-block operation safety limit.
Combined with undo/redo history and permission protection, this helps reduce accidental or unauthorized large-scale edits.
Modded Block Support
ForgeEdit isn't limited to vanilla blocks.
Where applicable, it works with registered modded blocks and their block states, allowing it to be used in heavily modded building environments as well as vanilla-style worlds.
