fogged-1.5.1.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Release 1.5.1
The murk works under shader packs and with Sodium, more mods live under it, it costs far less to maintain, and the far edge of the fog now vanishes cleanly into the horizon.
There changes in config, better to remove old config, run game, and write in your changes
Shader packs and Sodium
The murk renders under Iris shader packs and alongside Sodium. The fog, its surface and its foam look the same with a pack as without one.
More mods under the boundary
- Cold Sweat -- under the boundary it is cold. The hearth and boiler are smothered rather than put out, and keep their fuel for when the fog lifts.
- Thirst Was Taken -- thirst slows in the murk.
- Burnt -- flames and anything smoldering go out.
- Every mod's plants wilt under the murk with no listing needed, so Biomes O' Plenty, Oh The Biomes We've Gone and Regions Unexplored are covered out of the box.
Look
- The far edge of the fog fades into the horizon instead of ending in a straight cut, and the fade begins only past the last visible terrain. Works with mods that change the fog's colour and distance.
- Foam notices what sits near the surface, not only what cuts through it.
- The foam's bands blend into one another instead of meeting at hard lines.
- Blocks found by the sweep steam for a moment before they turn.
- Towers vary more in height; most break the surface, a few stop just under it.
Fixes
- Particles make a hole in the plane.
- The spawn tower group stands by the actual spawn, not the world origin.
- Snow at the waterline no longer flickers against the plane.
- Under a shader pack the plane no longer shows a faint cross on the water.
- The murk takes hold only once the head is under the surface, not when it merely skims it.
Performance
- The sweep that keeps the murk in order and the foam map's rebuild each cost a fraction of what they did. The periodic hitch is gone.
Config
- Mod-specific settings moved to their own compat section with a tab of their own in the config screen. If you had changed any of them, set them again there.
Requires NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.
