Description
REQUIRES GECKOLIB IN ORDER TO WORK
Thanks for checking out the mod!
Foes! is a mod focused on adding lesser enemies to the game. You can use this mod in modpacks or play it on its own. I do recommend pairing it with JEI (Just Enough Items) as it may help get more info on how to get each item. You can also get an idea of what you'll see or where to look with the hints down below.
As of v0.3, I can say the mod is starting to find its footing. I don't plan on making updates to this mod indefinitely, but feedback for those that are left to come is very much appreciated. That said...
I hope you enjoy the mod :)

Foes explained (Spoilers!)
Faker
Fakers disguise themselves as cows. They may reveal themselves if you hit or kill the decoy. Fakers are a menace in the early game. They have 30 HP, hit hard, and run fast. They drop mystery meat and bones upon death. Noticing the differences in fake cows is the key to deal with them.

Duppy
Duppies are small bugs. They are frail with a measely 6 HP. However, any time they attack, they dupe themselves as the name would suggest. The last duppy of a group will leave a Duppy Tail upon death. And no, they don't drop XP.

Spectre
When taking actions in deepslate caves you may catch the Countdown effect. You can't get rid of it by any means. When the Countdown ends, the Spectre will appear. However, if you get out of deepslate level in time, the effect will do nothing. The Spectre takes flight with a withering range attack, a nasty melee and a fat 70 HP. Once its health gets to 35 HP, it drops to the ground, leaping at the target to lifesteal its way back into its prior form. It drops Fiendish Fillet and Fiendish Fangs.

Hyppoterra
Hyppoterra is a tanky foe, boasting 60 HP and great armor. Its jaws are crushing, so stay clear of its mouth. When hurt, it may fire a lava bomb, creating lava source upon landing. When a Hyppoterra touches lava or fire, it goes into a speedy frenzy that usually follows with a player casualty, so make sure it doesn't stumble across its own shots. It drops Heavy Coal upon death. It can be soothed with Frosty Melons.

Abruptor
The hide of an unknown animal reanimated by pure electric charge. It'll rush down and shoot at any player it sees with a zapping projectile. Using water against it is quite dangerous because of this. Drops leather and Abruptor Thorns.

Blizard
They can knock players back with their inflatable sacks. They're frail. If pushed off a tall cliff they will glide to safety. They drop Blizard Scales and the Repteye if you're lucky.

John Hellspawn
These abominations leave a trail of fire and have an attack reach similar to a player's. They can drop cooked chicken, feathers, or Resurgence upon death. They also can be soothed with cooked rabbit.

Frostbite
This mysterious creature will shoot freezing projectiles as it approaches, but if it gets too close to the player it might switch forms to melee. It drops the Cryo Claw.

Seer
This foe will force nearby players to look at it, so it is best to target it over other mobs. It's fragile with 10 HP. It doesn't have a drop as of now, but it gives a bunch of XP.

Gnawm
A grudgeful ball of anger and greed. It is more speedy and durable than it looks. It can be soothed with raw copper or copper ingots. If you don't, it'll give chase with a relatively strong melee. If hurt, it may respond by hurling rocks at the attacker. When killed, it will drop a bundle, alongside some minerals or enchanted tools. It sometimes also drops the Gnawm Claw.

Bogre
A menace in the early game, specially in numbers. It has 28 HP, and a nasty bite with a deceiving reach that pulls prey underwater. It is advisable to build bridges across rivers, the taller the better. It may drop a Bogre fin once killed.

Quartz Golem / Nether Automaton
To summon this foe, you need to build the equivalent of an iron golem in quartz, only replacing the central block with the new Quartz Engine. Once right clicked, the Engine will summon the Quartz Golem.
Based on kinetic energy, it may turn its pain into yours with a shockwave. It has 80 HP and is slightly weaker than its iron cousin. When killed, it will explode, turning any netherrack nearby into quartz ore, and stone or deepslate into redstone ore. In ocassions, it may leave a Kineticore after its final explosion. It is best to fight it in a relatively open area.

Gloom
You should only face this foe in the late game, when you're very well equiped. Until then, stay in the light. Drops Gloom filaments.

Elusive Foes?
Most Foes have a rare Elusive variant (Like shinies). These are neutral and have a noticeable texture change so you can collect them more easily if you wish. Not all of them spawn naturally; you might have to figure out how to get them. No more hints...

Foes with Elusive variants: Faker, Duppy, Hyppoterra, Hellspawn, Seer, Gnawm.
You can use this mod in your non-commercial modpacks. You may not distribute this mod in other platforms.
