Fluidworks is an addon for Realistic Water, adding six tools for controlling physical water and lava.
Create whirlpools, direct fluid streams, build hidden drains, and automate your creations with redstone.
Features
-
Eternal Sponge — continuously removes water and lava within an adjustable radius of 1–20 blocks. Supports both vanilla and physical fluids.
-
Physical Fluid Sensor — emits redstone when touching water or lava. Set a continuous contact duration of 0–60 seconds before activation.
-
Fluid Vortex Generator — creates redstone-powered whirlpools with adjustable strength, direction, height, radius, and center pull.
-
Smart Drain — lets physical water and lava pass through while providing solid footing for players and animals. Choose between always-open and redstone-controlled operation.
-
Fluid Jet — pushes physical fluids in any of six directions. Adjustable strength of 1–20 and range of 1–32 blocks. Requires redstone.
-
Flow Stabilizer — dampens nearby fluid movement with adjustable strength of 1–20 and radius of 1–16 blocks. Requires redstone.
Camouflage drains
Right-click a Smart Drain while holding a full block to copy its appearance without consuming the block. Camouflage changes its appearance while preserving its drain functionality.
Sneak + right-click with an empty hand to restore the metal grate.
Controls
Right-click a placed device to open its settings. Sneak + right-click while holding a device item to configure it before placement, including the Eternal Sponge’s radius.
Settings and drain camouflage persist through world saves, normal block drops, and placement.
All six blocks are available in the Fluidworks creative tab.

Realistic Water 1.2.3 for physical fluid features
Physical effects require Realistic Water’s active Vulkan simulation on a nearby client. Smart Drains pass physical fluids; vanilla water and lava do not flow through them.
For multiplayer, install Fluidworks on both the server and the clients.
