⚙ Direct the flow. Keep the peace.
Take control of water around your builds.
Streams Flow Control adds practical tools for redirecting currents, creating calm water and restoring natural flow. Keep a boat steady at your dock, guide water through a canal or control the current around a build—without editing the terrain or replacing the original Streams Reflowing mod.

🌊 Shape the current
Three survival-craftable tools cover different situations:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Flow Wand | Draw a circular area of directional current, calm it completely or restore its natural flow. |
| Current Generator | Place a reusable directional current source under or beside the water. Rotate it to change the direction. |
| Stillwater Anchor | Keep the water around docks, moorings and other builds free of water-induced drift. |
The Flow Wand follows the direction you're looking. Its range and strength are adjustable, and placed controllers can be disabled with redstone. Breaking a controller removes its override immediately.
Edits persist separately in each dimension and synchronize in multiplayer. They work with ordinary water and Streams Reflowing's baked stream fluids, including the mod's boat-current behavior.
⚓ A calmer dock in minutes
- Craft a Stillwater Anchor and place it below or next to a dock to create a calm mooring area.
- Use the Flow Wand on water to create an override. Aim into the sky and sneak-use to switch between Directed, Still and Restore modes.
- Aim into the sky and use to cycle the wand's radius. For more control, use the commands below.
Note: Still water prevents current-induced drift; it doesn't stop a boat's existing momentum, steering or collisions.
⚙ Controls & configuration
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Cycle wand mode | Sneak-use while aiming at the sky |
| Change wand radius | Use while aiming at the sky |
| Change current strength | /streamcontrol strength <value> |
| Set a precise radius | /streamcontrol radius <blocks> |
| Check active regions | /streamcontrol status |
| Clear dimension's wand edits (operator) | /streamcontrol clear |
Block controllers take priority over wand edits. Where overrides overlap, stillness wins over directed flow at the same priority. The default radius is 4 blocks; server operators can set limits and permissions.
Server settings are stored in <world>/serverconfig/streamcontrol-server.toml.

📦 Requirements
- Minecraft: 1.21.1
- Mod loader: NeoForge (21.1.219+ in the supported 21.1.x series)
- Java: 21
- Required: Streams Reflowing 2.15.2
- UltraTerraForged: Not required. The mod can also be used alongside UltraTerraForged Streams Currents.
Install on both client and server for multiplayer. Flow Control changes velocity within defined water regions, not water levels or terrain, and does not load extra chunks to keep controllers active.
