Bring the classic Flan's Mod experience to Minecraft 1.20.1.

Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 is a modern reimplementation and expansion of Flan's Mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, built with a major focus on legacy content-pack compatibility.

Load many of your old Flan's Mod content packs from previous Minecraft versions and let the mod automatically convert them for the modern Minecraft content pipeline.

At the same time, the underlying engine is being rebuilt for modern Minecraft with improved performance, stability, rendering, tooling, and long-term maintainability.

Already have old Flan's Mod content packs?
Back them up, place them into the flan folder, and Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 will attempt to automatically convert them for Minecraft 1.20.1.

Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 is currently in active development.

A large part of the core Flan's Mod gameplay is already playable, while major systems such as vehicles are still being implemented.

📦 Legacy Content Pack Compatibility

One of the main goals of Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 is to preserve the enormous content-pack ecosystem created for older versions of Flan's Mod.

The mod can automatically process and convert legacy content packs to the Minecraft 1.20.1 content pipeline when the game starts.

This makes it possible for many classic packs to return on modern Minecraft without requiring them to be completely recreated from scratch.

Compatibility is continuously being improved as more legacy packs are tested.

⚠️ Back Up Your Content Packs

Always create a backup of your original content packs before placing them into the flan folder.

The conversion system may generate, modify, or migrate files while preparing legacy packs for Minecraft 1.20.1.

Keep an untouched copy of your original content packs somewhere outside the Minecraft installation.

Compatibility

Not every legacy pack or feature is guaranteed to work perfectly yet. Compatibility will continue to improve throughout development.
