Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 is a modern reimplementation and expansion of Flan's Mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, featuring guns, vehicles, tanks, planes, helicopters, Mechas, deployable weapons, Teams, Apocalypse gameplay and extensive legacy content-pack compatibility.

Install one of the FMU2-ready content packs available on CurseForge, or bring back many of your old Flan's Mod content packs and let the mod automatically convert them for modern Minecraft.

At the same time, the underlying engine has been extensively rebuilt with improved vehicle and aircraft physics, rendering, performance, damage and armour systems, content loading, tooling and stability.

Install the mod together with the Classic Packs for an easy starting point with classic Flan's Mod content.

Already have old Flan's Mod content packs?
Back them up, place them into the flan folder, and Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 will attempt to automatically convert them for Minecraft 1.20.1.

📦 FMU2 Content Packs

Several classic and community content packs are available as FMU2-ready releases specifically updated for Flan's Mod Ultimate 2.

These versions may include compatibility fixes, updated configuration, restored features and adjustments for FMU2's modern systems.

Unlike original legacy Flan's Mod content packs, these releases are installed like normal Forge mods:

Download the .jar and place it directly into your Minecraft mods folder.
Do not extract FMU2-ready content-pack releases into the flan folder.

📦 Legacy Content Pack Compatibility

One of the main goals of Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 is to preserve the enormous content-pack ecosystem created for older versions of Flan's Mod.

The mod can automatically process and convert legacy content packs to the Minecraft 1.20.1 content pipeline when the game starts.

This makes it possible for many classic packs to return on modern Minecraft without requiring them to be completely recreated from scratch.

⚠️ Back Up Your Legacy Content Packs

Always create a backup of your original content packs before placing them into the flan folder.

The conversion system may generate, modify or migrate files while preparing legacy packs for Minecraft 1.20.1.

Keep an untouched copy of your original content packs somewhere outside the Minecraft installation.

Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 does more than simply port the original mod.

Large parts of the underlying engine have been redesigned around modern Minecraft while preserving the gameplay and content-pack philosophy that made Flan's Mod unique.

⚠️ Development Status

Flan's Mod Ultimate 2 is still under active development.

Version 2.0 brings many of the major systems of classic Flan's Mod back into the game, but development is far from finished.

Some legacy mechanics may still behave differently from their original implementations, and individual content packs may require additional compatibility work.

Bug reports and feedback are therefore especially valuable.
