Tyrants and Plebians fork of Flan's Mod Ultimate, finally on Curseforge!!!
The TAP fork of Flan's mod contains features no other fork offers:
Improved vehicle hitbox mechanics:
Vehicle hitboxes can now be configured to have their own armor thickness, similar to War Thunder. Additional hitbox types have been added, such as more armor hitboxes, like ERA plates, and special ones, such as engines and weak spots that affect the vehicle when destroyed.
Destroying a vehicle's turret or weak spot hitbox will now result in an ammo cookoff (can be turned off in the vehicle's config file for those implementing in more modern vehicles). The time it takes for the cookoff to blow up the vehicle can also be configured. Destroying an engine will affect a vehicle's speed, making it slower and incapable of moving.
Finally, armor hitboxes can simulate resistance to specific projectile damage (Chemical/Kinetic), allowing you to simulate ERA plates and composite armor.
Qol vehicle mechanics:
Smoke/flares, ammo switching, player disembarkation (tping people to a vehicle), and a War Thunder-like repair system are some of the features vehicles can now possess...among others.
Maritime revamp:
Ships literally sink instead of despawning/exploding when destroyed. A ship's health is determined by its buoyancy and the amount of crew on board (configurable in the ship's config file).
Light weapon mechanics:
Gun mechanics have been reworked for a more pleasant experience. Recoil is now smoother and more authentic to life, while additional mechanics like suppression will add extra realism to your gameplay. Sound physics have also been reworked.
Additionally, bullet penetration is now a thing. Munitions can be configured to penetrate a set amount of vehicle armor (just like in War Th-yeah, we get it). Your ammunition can be enhanced with properties such as multiple hitbox/player penetration, player/vehicle tracking, or sub-munitions, as well as more niche configurations such as HEAT and top-down capabilities.
Players aren't left out either. In addition to vehicle armor penetration, bullets can also be configured with a set player armor penetration. In layman's terms, you can now simulate your favorite extraction shooter while not having to play said game and spending the thousands you don't have on a better computer.
