Fish Farm Festival Core 1.4.3
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Fish Farm Festival Core 1.4.3
Safe to update an existing world. Nothing needs to be done by hand. Built for Fish Farm Festival 1.4.3; the pack also ships the skill-tree and Fish Bag config this version expects.
Festival merchant
Existing festival merchants update themselves the first time you load the world. Nothing needs to be done by hand.
- A second set of Seasonal Orders. The orders now alternate by in-game year (96 days): one set one year, a new set the next, then back again. Rewards for each order are unchanged. Your Festival Passport, the Almanac and the trade list always show the set for the current year.
- Token Shop prices are doubled for almost everything. Festival Treasure and everything paid in emeralds keep their prices, except the ones below.
- Seeds and saplings cost more: Asparagus Seeds (4) 24 tokens, Grape Seeds (2) 20 tokens, Apple Tree Sapling 8, Dark Cherry Sapling 8. The Bee Nest at the Blossom Fair costs 24.
- The Sniffer Egg is no longer sold for tokens. It is still in the Emerald Shop.
- The Nether Star costs 80 tokens, paid as 64 + 16. It used to show 80 but charged 64.
- Crops pay less. In Season trades ask for three times as many crops (still 2 tokens), and Sell for Tokens asks for twice as many (still 1 token). For example 15 Strawberries or 18 Ginger In Season.
- Fish pay a little less, and there is more to catch. Each In Season fish trade asks for 1.75 times as many fish, for example 14 instead of 8. Rare fish that pay 2 tokens for a single fish are unchanged. Every season also buys 4 more kinds of fish.
- Daily limits. Each In Season trade can be made 3 times a day (6 tokens). Sell for Tokens pays at most 3 tokens a day per trade. The limits reset when the in-game day changes (every 20 minutes). The titles in the trade list say so.
- The Passport and Almanac now say "a better rate than usual" instead of "over twice the normal rate".
Skills
- Chef and Angler XP is five times higher for eating dishes, catching fish, discovering new fish and dishes, underwater treasure and the Dish of the Season. Killing Drowned and Guardians does not earn more, so they cannot be farmed.
- The Grand Fishing Derby still awards Bronze, Silver and Gold at the same fishing effort as before (100, 250 and 500 points).
- New fish discoveries: the 53 Hybrid Aquatic fish now count as discoveries and pay Angler XP the first time you catch each one.
Fish and food
- Tide fish can be cooked. All Tide fish count as raw fish in Farmer's Delight cooking pots. Cooked Fish, Small Cooked Fish and Cooked Fish Slice from Tide give Seafood Simple buffs, and Large Cooked Fish and Grilled Tuna give Seafood Basic buffs, with Chef XP.
- Fish Bag: now also catches 12 more Hybrid Aquatic fish that it used to refuse, such as the Betta.
- Creature Net: the Hybrid Aquatic Creature Net cannot catch Tide fish. Catch those with a fishing rod, and store them with the Fish Bag.
Cinnamon
- Cinnamon models show up again.
- Cinnamon Sapling: Cinnamon logs drop it (15% per log, never with Silk Touch), and a Cinnamon Sapling now grows by itself in light level 9 or more. It takes about 17 minutes on average. This only works for saplings you place after this update; saplings placed earlier and saplings from a Dispenser still need bone meal.
- The "Old fish tidied up" chat message is gone.
For server owners
- Copy the Core 1.4.3 jar and three config files from the pack:
config/puffish_skills/categories/fff_angler/experience.json,.../fff_chef/experience.jsonandconfig/betterfishtanks.json. Without them, XP from eating and fishing stays at the old rates, Grand Fishing Derby medals become five times harder to earn, and the Fish Bag does not catch the extra fish. - Do not replace Core while the server is running.
