Fish Farm Festival Core 1.4.0 — Seasons That Matter

Safe to update an existing world. Nothing needs to be done by hand. This version also contains the 1.3.3 warship fix.

Everything at the festival merchant

  • The festival merchant's trade list is now split into sections: Seasonal Orders, In Season, Sell for Tokens, Token Shop and Emerald Shop. Each section starts with a title row that cannot be traded (hover over it to read the title).
  • No commands and no chat buttons are needed.
  • In Season: festival merchants pay double Festival Tokens for the season's fish and crops. Seasonal fish and crops that merchants did not buy before have been added.
  • Festival Treasure now sits at the top of the Token Shop and is no longer announced in chat.
  • Festival merchants can no longer be hurt or knocked back, even by players in Creative mode.

Festival Passport

  • The merchant hands every player a Festival Passport the first time they meet. Hover over it to see:
    • the season, the day and the days until the festival
    • the Fish, Crops and Dish of the Season
    • your Seasonal Orders and your Stamp Card
    • during the Grand Fishing Derby, your Derby points and the next medal
  • It updates itself while it is in your inventory. Lost it? The merchant trades a new one for a sheet of paper.
  • The old chat page still works for anyone who likes it (/trigger fff_almanac), but nobody needs it.

Seasonal Orders

  • Each festival has 3 orders that ask for a crop plus a fish. Trade them at the top of the festival merchant's list.
  • Each order pays 6–12 Festival Tokens and 4–8 emeralds, once per player each year. If you trade the same order again, the merchant hands your items back.
  • One winter order asks for summer tomatoes, which you can only grow in a greenhouse.
  • Trade the Dish of the Season for 3 tokens.

Festival Stamp Card

  • Collect 20 stamps a year. Each festival has 5: visiting, the 3 orders and the dish.
  • Rewards:
    • 5 stamps: 5 tokens and a cake.
    • 10 stamps: 10 tokens and rare seeds.
    • 15 stamps: a random piece of Festival Treasure.
    • 20 stamps: the Festival Champion Trophy.
  • The card resets every in-game year (96 days). There is no catch-up, and rewards you already received are yours to keep.
  • New Hall of Fame advancements: Festival Champion, and Festival Legend for three full cards in different years.

Festival events

  • Blossom Fair – Planting Day (day 4): cherry petals drift around every player all day.
  • Grand Fishing Derby – Derby medals: every point of Angler XP you earn during the Derby is a Derby point.
    • Bronze at 100 points (3 tokens), Silver at 250 points (5 tokens), Gold at 500 points (8 tokens).
    • On Derby Day (day 8) points count double, and the day ends with fireworks at sunset.
  • Harvest Feast – Feast Night (night of day 12): jack o'lanterns glow around the festival host, and every buff from a Gourmet or Feast dish eaten that night lasts twice as long.
  • Christmas: snow falls around every player on Christmas Eve night, and Santa's gift waits on Christmas morning.
  • None of the events gives a stamp, and none of them has a goal to chase.

Food

  • Signature dishes: Creamy Asparagus Soup (spring), Fish Stew (summer), Stuffed Pumpkin (autumn) and Barley Soup (winter). Eaten in their own season, each one gives +1 hunger, a seasonal buff and double Chef XP.
  • Moved up to Gourmet: Stuffed Cod, Squid Ink Pasta, Cheesy Asparagus and Bacon, and Pasta with Meatballs. Their recipes need a processed ingredient or crops from two seasons, so they now give Gourmet buffs and hunger.

Farming

  • Greenhouses now need stained glass (any colour). Clear glass no longer keeps crops in season. In an existing clear-glass greenhouse, out-of-season crops still grow, only slowly, until you replace the glass.
  • Ginger fix: the Town Market now sells Ginger Flower, which is the part you plant. Ginger is the harvest.
  • Farm animals eat mod crops. Hold the food and right-click the animal. Adults fall in love, babies grow faster, and horses heal.
    • Cows, sheep, goats and mooshrooms: cabbage, cabbage leaf, lettuce, barley, oats, corn.
    • Pigs: tomato, sweet potato, peanut, strawberry, cabbage, lettuce, corn.
    • Chickens: oat, barley, cabbage, tomato and lettuce seeds, corn kernels, rice.
    • Horses, donkeys, mules and llamas: oats, barley, corn.
    • Rabbits: lettuce, strawberry.
    • Foods that are bad for animals, such as onions and grapes, are left out on purpose.
    • Farm & Charm feeding troughs also accept the mod grains.
    • While you hold one of these foods next to an animal, you cannot shear, milk or mount it. Switch items first.

Illager Warships (from 1.3.3)

  • Every warship has exactly one Invoker. Ships that already have two are fixed when they load.

For server owners

  • No config changes.
  • /function fff_season:admin/economy shows the emeralds, tokens, orders and stamps of each online player.
