First Class Flying 1.2.0 Changelog

Release Packaging And Compatibility

  • Preserved mod version 1.2.0.
  • Added explicit jar names and compatibility lines for supported Minecraft releases.
  • Corrected build and dependency metadata used by the release artifacts.
  • Prepared the runtime-tested release matrix as nine artifacts.
  • Split previously unsafe ranges after Fabric API dependency mismatches caused startup rejection.
  • Isolated Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, and 1.21.11.
  • Kept Minecraft 1.21-1.21.1 as a shared jar.
  • Kept Minecraft 1.21.2-1.21.3 as a shared jar.
  • Kept Minecraft 1.21.5-1.21.7 as a shared jar.
  • Kept Minecraft 26.1-26.1.2 as a shared release artifact after validation.

1.2.0 Highlights

  • FCF stays dormant on servers that do not have the mod installed.
  • FCF servers can reject clients that do not advertise the required FCF client channel.
  • Added configurable Powered Flight and Vanilla Glide keybind behavior.
  • Added conservative server-side Elytra/Chestplate Swap behavior.
  • Improved wing visuals during true vanilla elytra glide handoffs.

Known Technical Decisions

  • The old broad range 1.21.2-1.21.4 was split because metadata built with the 1.21.4 Fabric API requirement blocked the 1.21.2 runtime.
  • The old broad range 1.21.5-1.21.8 was split because metadata built with the 1.21.8 Fabric API requirement blocked the 1.21.5 runtime.
  • The old broad range 1.21.9-1.21.10 was split because metadata built with the 1.21.10 Fabric API requirement blocked the 1.21.9 runtime.
  • These are compatibility metadata corrections. They do not assign fault to Fabric, Fabric API, or Minecraft.
  • The 26.1 artifact is built against 26.1.2 and declares the project-approved 26.1.x metadata range >=26.1 <26.2.
