# 🔥 Fire Recorder

Record, stream and zoom, all from inside Minecraft. No OBS, nothing to install.

## ✨ Features

🎥 **Record to MP4**
Press **F9** to start and stop recording. Videos save to your `.minecraft/recordings` folder, and you can download them from the in-game menu with one click.

🔴 **Go Live on YouTube or Twitch**
Stream directly from the game. Paste your stream key in the settings and press Go Live.

💬 **Stream Chat On Screen**
See your YouTube or Twitch chat in a chat box while you play. Only you see it, so it never appears on your stream.

💾 **Save Your Streams**
Automatically saves a copy of every stream. You can choose whether your stream chat is included in the saved video.

📸 **Clean Screenshots**
Press **F7** for a screenshot without any of the mod's overlays.

🔍 **Zoom**
Hold **C** to zoom and scroll to zoom further (up to 30x). No cinematic camera and no floaty smoothing, so the camera follows your mouse exactly.

⚡ **Hardware Encoding**
Automatically uses your graphics card's video encoder (Intel QuickSync, NVIDIA or AMD) when it can, so recording costs less FPS.

All keys can be changed in Options → Controls → Key Binds.

## ⚙️ Setup
**Windows:** nothing to do! The video encoder (FFmpeg) is built in and sets itself up the first time you launch the game.
**Mac / Linux:** install FFmpeg on your system and the mod will find it.

**For streaming:** press F10 → Settings and paste your stream key.
**For stream chat:** Twitch only needs your channel name. YouTube needs a free YouTube Data API key and your channel ID, and your stream must be Public.

## 📝 Notes
- **Client-side only.** It doesn't need to be on the server, so you can use it on any server.
- Recordings and streams don't include game audio or microphone yet (coming in a future update).
- Your stream keys are saved on your computer only. Don't share your `firerecorder/settings.properties` file.
