What's new

  • Fieldworks requires Groundworks 0.7.0 or later, below 0.8. With it, a sheet of paper copies, cuts and pastes a box of blocks as a Blueprint, and Next Assembly is now Next Choice, still on V (5thlayer/groundworks#76).
  • Breaking: drilling mud is crafted, not brewed (ADR 0012, #52). A water bucket and a clay ball craft a drilling mud bucket, fieldworks:drilling_mud_bucket, of the type fieldworks:crafting_shapeless_no_remainder, so the water bucket becomes the mud bucket and no empty bucket is left in the grid, as with magma slurry. A brewing stand no longer brews drilling mud from a clay ball or a clay block, and EMI no longer shows that brewing. The item fieldworks:drilling_mud_bottle is gone: drilling mud comes in a bucket only, and mud bottles in a world disappear when it updates.
  • Crafting magma slurry no longer leaves an empty bucket in the grid (#47): the lava bucket becomes the magma slurry bucket, where it used to give back its empty bucket too, a bucket for free. The craft, fieldworks:magma_slurry_bucket, is of a new type, fieldworks:crafting_shapeless_no_remainder, written like minecraft:crafting_shapeless and leaving nothing in the grid. A Craftworks Assembler still gives the empty bucket back, since it asks each ingredient for its remainder (5thlayer/craftworks#79).
  • The network version is now 2: a client and a server must both carry it to connect, and NeoForge names the mismatch when they don't. An open Harvester's menu receives its status and its Held recipe in one packet, fieldworks:harvester_view, which replaces fieldworks:held_recipe.
  • A Harvester's progress belongs to the operation under way, its source and its recipe, and is lost when it turns to another: breaking a block out from under a Harvester mid-operation, or holding another recipe, no longer gives the next operation a head start. An operation that stalls for power, for its Drilling Fluid or for room keeps its progress, as before (#11).
  • A Harvester lighting a lava bucket, or another fuel that leaves a remainder, on the tick an operation completes no longer loses part of the operation's result: it waits, idling with a full output, until its buffer has room for both the empty bucket and the result.
