Fieldworks 0.6.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
- A patch lies on the ground under what grows there, never on top of it, and clears it from over its blocks: trees, bamboo, cactus, huge mushrooms and fungi, pumpkins, melons, grass, flowers, vines and the like, in the Overworld and the Nether. The new block tag
#fieldworks:patch_clearsholds what a patch clears, and a pack can add its own plants. Chunks generated after updating are laid out this way; patches already in a world stay as they are. - Breaking: patches and oil fields generate only on ground a Harvester can work (ADR 0011, #48). A start generates nothing when, in any 3×3 square of its disc's columns, the highest and lowest ground differ by more than 3 blocks, so a patch no longer runs from a river bank up a mountainside. The ground is where the ore would lie, a pond's floor included, read from the generator's base terrain. The same span holds in the Nether, where it replaces the trim that left out a column more than 8 blocks above or below the centre's floor: a Nether patch now follows a gentle ramp whole, and each column's ore lies on the floor the start judged it by, so a column whose floor the carvers opened takes none. Hilly land has fewer patches, since a rejected start is not tried elsewhere. Chunks generated after updating are laid out differently; patches already in a world stay, and a Nether patch saved before keeps its old trim in the chunks it has yet to place.
