FennecLib

FennecLib is a lightweight shared library for the MaidTown mod ecosystem and Touhou Little Maid extensions.

It provides reusable framework components for maid work behaviors and user interfaces, helping other mods implement complex features without duplicating common code.

Features

Weighted Behavior Framework

FennecLib provides a flexible weighted behavior system for selecting and executing child behaviors.

The framework includes:

• WeightedPicker for weighted random selection
• WeightedChildBehavior for managing weighted child behaviors
• Support for organizing multiple possible actions by priority and probability
• Reusable behavior components for maid work systems
• A foundation for more dynamic and configurable AI behavior

This system is designed for mods that need maids to choose between different tasks based on weights, conditions, priorities, or available resources.

Reusable UI Components

FennecLib also provides reusable GUI and screen components for NeoForge mods.

Available components include:

• C_Container container screen templates
• W_EntryList entry list widgets
• W_StatBar statistic and progress bars
• W_Scrollbar scroll bar components
• Shared layout and interaction helpers
• Common UI elements for project management and status displays

These components are intended to make it easier for dependent mods to create consistent and functional interfaces.

Intended Use

FennecLib is primarily a developer library and does not add a standalone gameplay system by itself.

It is used by other projects in the MaidTown ecosystem, including MaidMoreWork, to provide common behavior and UI functionality for Touhou Little Maid-based systems.

Installing FennecLib alone may not add noticeable gameplay content. It is required by mods that use its APIs and framework components.

Dependencies

• Minecraft 26.1.2 or newer
• NeoForge 26.1.2 or newer
• Touhou Little Maid 2.0.0 or newer

Installation

Install the required dependencies first, then place the FennecLib .jar file into your Minecraft mods folder.

FennecLib is currently under active development and its APIs may be expanded or adjusted as the MaidTown mod ecosystem grows.
