Fellows and Foes

FaF is a simple Mod that isn't based around one specifc theming or anything; rather just a mod that adds various mobs, each with their own concept behind them and mechanics that are often unique, bringing alongside their very own features. So instead of talking about what they are, lets see some of them!

Release 1.0 - "Fellows and Foes"

This Mod is new, please be patient with any bugs
There are many updates planned with around 30+ Concepts and Designs already complete

#1-2 - Aplomom

#1 - Aplomom

Aplomom are small and cheeky little creatures that have quite the attitude; although rather tiny they have a strange affinity for flowers; giving those who trade the little creatures flowers often exotic and curiously rare plants and saplings; where do they get them? it's a mystery...

#2 - ??? Aplomom

Although quite common there are some whispers of a rare variant of the average Aplomom that sparkles and shines; taking the same flowers but giving much rarer and exotic items to those who trade.

A word of warning; Aplomoms are cheeky and tend to steal your flowers; giving you nothing in return.

#3-6 Morks

#3 - Nether Wastes Mork

Morks come in a variety of looks and personalities; typically being small and relatively friendly.

The most common Mork is that of the Wastes Mork - This Mork is found in the Nether Wastes Biome and is entirely friendly. Like every other Mork they love eating Coal, making them cough-up various goodies that they have came across and eaten from Gold to Gilded Blackstone!

#4 - Basalt Deltas Mork

Although similar to it's friendlier cousin, when provoked, a Deltas Mork will fight back only stopping their pursuit temporarily if fed their similarly favourite food; coal.

Given its different diet; the Deltas Mork will cough-up different loot from that of its cousins; opting to eat things like Magma Cream and the odd Gold-Block!

#5 - Soul Sand Valley Mork

The Soul Sand Valley Mork is of course one of the stranger looking Morks; with a fake head atop its taller body. This Mork is also incredibly jumpy and will actively run-away from fellow Morks and Players. Although jumpy, these Morks will still feast on coal, coughing-up things like Crying Obsidian and Wither Skulls!

#6 - ??? Mork

There are a few reports of a runaway Mork that was tamed and is now incredibly hostile. This Mork does not eat and will attack on-sight.

#7 - Slog

Slogs are incredibly small and noisy creatures, primarily found in swamps where they love to bask in the swampy coasts and shade of the trees, they are initially uncaring of passerbys; given they are so small, they tend to come in larger groups and help eachother out.

Although small and incredibly weak, the sludge they spit-out is incredibly toxic and is shot with almost precise accuracy, a group of angered Slogs can be fatal.

Toxic Sludge

Toxic Sludge is what Slogs both shoot and drop upon death, in often large quantities; and is an incredibly potent toxin that even holding it can make a person sick.

Although rather useless on its own it can be crafted as seen below into a Toxic Sludge Block, an equally toxic block that can be placed anywhere in the world and applies the same effects as the Slogs do to those who walk across it.

Toxic Sludge Blocks, given their equal strength give off alot of bubbles that shoot up from the block as it oozes slowly around.

#8 - Coesie

Coesies are incredibly magical and powerful beings that could arguably cover the world in an eternal Ice-Age. However, they are so indescribably lazy and content with their lives that they can't be bothered to do so and don't want to, they just want a comfortable life.

Given their power, Coesies can be incredibly rare to find, only being found at the peaks of mountains in small groups and Ice-ridden biomes, rumoured to be the creators of the large Ice-Spikes found there.

Given their love for the cold, if a Coesie happens to be sat on ice, they will get lost in the cozyness and begin letting off some of their magic accidentally to those around it.

Below are the recorded notes on the various effects that Coesies let-off whilst on the various Ice-types.

Water

Coesies hate water and when standing on it, will replicate the "Frost Walker" Enchantment and turn it temporarily to Ice.

Ice

Whilst sitting on ice, Coesies will make others Glow and nothing else.

Packed Ice

Colder, Coesies will let off more magic and when sat on Packed-Ice, will of course make those around the Coesie Glow and actually Mine Slightly Faster.

Blue Ice

At the Peak, Coesies will make others Glow for longer; Mine Faster and actually make them Float into the Air relatively quick.

#9 - Angletone

Angletones are fierce and aggressive little creatures, although relatively stupid and weak, put together these boney-fish can be a force to be reckoned with.

Hunting in groups they tend to decimate and devour whatever they can (or can't) fit their mouth around; so be careful venturing into the deep waters of the night.

If attacked by an Angletone, it will use the orb upon its head to pull prey down into the depths, emptying their lungs as they descend.

Angletone Bulb

Angletone Bulbs are of course what Angletones will drop upon death, that being the glowing orb they use to pull prey down and empty their lungs.

Although brutal, without its original body, the Bulbs lose their drowning-functionality and become a mere orb, however there is something unique you can do with these drops.

To harvest these Bulbs without killing Angletones, you can take shears and Right-Click an Angletone like a Sheep, plucking the Bulb off, that of which will regrow.

(Growth Time of the Bulb can be altered via /Gamerule)

Angletone Skulls

Of course harvesting Angletone Bulbs is incredibly dangerous and farming them can be deadly and tedious.

Therefore, to trick the fish, you can craft an Artificial Angletone Skull These skulls are wearable helmets that make Angletones think that you are one of them and thus avoid you, allowing you to harvest Bulbs to your heart's delight.

Artificial Skull

These skulls are crafted as seen above with Angletone Bulbs, Bones and Bone Blocks. These of course are artificial skulls and have the same effect as that of an Authentic one, however have much less durability and cannot be repaired.

Authentic Skull

Authentic Skulls are rarely dropped by defeated Angletones and have the same effect as the Artificial variant, however it wields a higher durability, toughness and can be repaired with bones.

->Tonal Bulbs

By arranging 4 Blackstone and 5 Angletone Bulbs as above, you will craft 2 Tonal Bulbs.

Tonal Bulbs are a new and unique light-source, as they are similar to Redstone Lamps, Unlike the Redstone Lamps however, the Tonal Bulbs don't simply turn off and on; rather they have a range of Tones to their light depending on the Redstone signal-strength, with 15 being the highest, gradually getting darker as you descend the signal-strength.

#10 - Celosion

#10 - Celosion: Tiny Celosion

Celosion are strange and tiny creatures that are found within deserts and the likes during the nights.

Given they are so small, their prey are primarily small animals like rabbits and chickens, even being spotted eating Aplomoms on the rare occasion they can find one.

Overall, you want to take out Celosion as fast as possible before they get the chance to get any bigger.

Smaller Celosion

Smaller Celosion is the next step once they eat enough and add to their piles, their diets are relatively the same, broadening it just a little and eating slightly larger animals.

Again, defeat them before they become a problem.

Small Celosion

This is where Celosion can become a larger problem, being much bigger and bulkier, they will not inherently hunt players, but will now fight back, dealing alot of damage per hit, whilst also hunting things like dogs, livestock and more.

Take out ASAP.

Celosion

Celosion will eat anything and everything they can get their sand on, actively hunting players and other Celosion, regardless of size.

They can launch you far into the air, dealing huge fall-damage.

It is best to keep your distance as they are immune to arrows and can devour you in seconds.

On a lighter note, it has been observed that Celosion will often take on the colouring of the Bad Lands and choose to keep that colour whilst in that form, only changing it when requiring more sand to grow and the Red Sand is unavailable.
