What's new since v0.2.3

  • Player spawn now spread out in W
  • Undersupports disabled by default
  • Placing blocks rotated in W now has keybind shift+placew+direction
  • Placing a block W-wards to the current block can now be done with placew+direction
  • Create 4D screenshots. start with placew+f2, take another screenshot with f2, continue with f2 then end with placew+f2
  • 4D pistons functional (sans blockentities) + models
  • New W position indicator. configurable via Mod Menu (an optional mod)
  • W-placed/facing cherry and bamboo buttons

  • Biomes vary across sllces

Bug fixes

Behind the scenes

Releasing this as a stable release jut so it all works on curseforge. A lot of refactoring and weird error management was required for the update to 1.20.4 so I'm happy that's working. The 4D terrain and biomes is not perfect yet really (for example, rivers are not carved correctly) But it's nice to have some world variation over slices. I know the 85% loading issue was very annoying so that's fixed now. The only issue for world loading could be not enough memory (a possible issue when it comes to 4DMC).

What comes next???

  • Moving up to the most recent versions. It might be possible to include 4D-ness as a Component, which would allow for an easy API for other mods adding 4D features.
  • Working on bug fixes and polishing
  • More work on 4D terrain
