Fate Dice is a Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge mod that adds a mysterious D20 fate die. Roll the die and let fate decide what happens next.

Your roll can grant useful effects, valuable resources and legendary rewards — or trigger dangerous events.

🎲 How It Works

Hold the Fate Die D20 in your hand and right-click.

After rolling, a short suspense sequence begins with sounds and HUD effects. The final result is then revealed.

The possible results are divided into several categories:

📜 Example Outcomes

Natural 1

The worst possible result.

Possible events include:

• Lightning strike
• Mining Fatigue and Blindness
• Damage to the item in your hand
• Charged Creeper spawn
• Launching the player high into the air
• Other dangerous events

Roll 10

Fate remains neutral.

Possible events include:

• Nothing happens
• Your cooldown is refunded, allowing another roll
• A harmless chicken appears

Natural 20

The most powerful possible result.

Possible rewards include:

• Strength III
• Resistance II
• Regeneration
• Glowing
• Enchanted Elytra with Mending and Unbreaking III
• Nether Star
• Enchanted Golden Apples
• Legendary Netherite Sword

The Fate Die can be crafted in Survival using vanilla Minecraft resources.

cooldownSeconds — cooldown duration in seconds.

allowDestructiveEvents — enables or disables potentially destructive events.

broadcastRollToChat — displays roll results in chat.

suspenseDelayTicks — delay before the final result is revealed. 25 ticks equals 1.25 seconds.

Fate Dice can be freely included in public and private modpacks.

The mod can be used in modpacks distributed through Modrinth, CurseForge and custom launchers.
