Meal Mastery 1.1.4 — 1.21.1 Fabric
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Fixes the Cooking Pot XP and duplication exploit, cooked food that refused to stack, and a crash alongside Fancy Notify.
This release also carries everything from 1.1.3, which was never published here.
Fixed
- Cooking Pots no longer hand out free XP and duplicate meals. Putting a cooked dish into the ingredient grid and taking it straight back out was treated as cooking it again: it paid Cooking XP, pushed the dish's prepared count and star rating up, and eventually gave you a second portion for free. Food sitting in a workstation's input slots now counts as food you are still carrying, so moving it in and out is worth nothing. Taking a finished dish out of a workstation is credited exactly as before.
- Cooked food stops splitting into stacks that will not merge. Rating a batch used to split the stack it landed in, so cooking three more into a pile of twenty left seventeen in one slot and three in another, permanently unmergeable. A rating is now only written onto a stack the batch accounts for in full.
- Cutting boards no longer mislabel food you were already carrying. A board drops its result on the floor, so there was nothing in your inventory to rate; the mod rated whatever matching food you happened to be holding instead. That is why identical dishes sometimes refused to stack.
- No more crash alongside Fancy Notify. Meal Mastery announced itself through a vanilla system toast carrying an identity it had invented, which mods that recognise vanilla's own toasts could not match. It now draws its own toast, using the same vanilla sprite, and adds no texture.
- Opening and closing a Cooking Pot repeatedly no longer grants credit for food already in your inventory.
- The settings screen no longer runs its toggles into the buttons below them.
Added
mastery.bonuses.stampFood, on by default. Turn it off and no rating is ever written onto food, so every stack merges the way vanilla intends. Eating bonuses then follow your own mastery with the dish instead of the cook's, and cooking for other people stops earning mastery.- Buttons for challenge and milestone popups in the settings screen. Both already existed in the config file, but the screen had no button for either.
tooltips.collapsedShowRatingandtooltips.collapsedShowHint, both in the settings screen. Turn both off and Meal Mastery adds nothing to a tooltip until the modifier is pressed.
Also from 1.1.3
- Manual crafting, smelting and smoking through Sophisticated Backpacks and Sophisticated Storage upgrades now grants progress.
- Saturation Plus's raised saturation cap is respected.
- Spice of Life: Valheim Reforged keeps ownership of food stats when it is installed.
Drop-in update over 1.1.2. No config or profile changes.
