Shields Reworked to be an active block similar to vanilla shields, however unlike vanilla shields, will block special damages from mobs.
Shields have a max block value which recharges while holding a shield that isn't blocking, shields actual block value is hidden, displayed as a percentage near the off-hand slot 
Shields block value is reduced by 20 x damage by default

 
Nether Forge Kiteshield - Base max block value: 6000
Nether Forge Kiteshield - Base recharge value in combat: 2 per tick (40 per second)
Nether Forge Kiteshield - Base recharge value out of combat: 6 per tick (120 per second)

Lizardskin Buckler - Base max block value: 2000
Lizardskin Buckler - Base recharge value in combat: 1 per tick (20 per second)
Lizardskin Buckler - Base recharge value out of combat: 3 per tick (60 per second)

 


New shield enchantments/previous ones reworked:

Meticulous Defence - increases the field of view that the shield blocks attacks from

Tenacity - Increases the max block value of the shield by 200 per level (10 damage)

Swift Block - increases the recharge rate of the shield by 1 point per tick per level (cannot combine with heavy block)

Heavy Block - reduces the multiplier of the damage value by 2 per level (level 1 = 18 x damage instead of 20) (cannot combine with swift block)

Static Guard - deals thunder damage back at the attacker = 10 + {level of static guard} when blocking (6s cooldown for each entity) (cannot combine with enfeebling guard)

Enfeebling Guard - gives weakness 1 to attackers for 1.5s x {level of enfeebling guard} when blocking (6s cooldown for each entity) (cannot combine with enfeebling guard)

 

 


Defenders added - iron crafted with iron dagger + nether star, diamond crafted using diamond defender upgrade parts (dropped by ereb)

Defenders are an off-hand hybrid item that increases damage and can block attacks

dealing damage while holding a defender in the off-hand stacks a hidden value based on how much damage the attack does (pre mitigation); when this value exceeds another hidden value based on the armour of the target, deal an amount of bonus damage

[D] = Stacking value from attacks
[A] = static value from armour

Iron Defender increases [D] by (20 x damage) + (20 x {level of precision enchantment}).    when [D] exceeds 400 + 60 x armour level deal, 3 bonus damage

Diamond Defender increases [D] by (21 x damage) + (20 x {level of precision enchantment}).    when [D] exceeds 390 + 60 x armour level, deal 4 bonus damage

This makes defenders considerably more effective vs targets with low armour and considerably more effective used by attackers with high attack damage (IE rogues)

Defenders can also parry attacks attacks by right clicking albeit in a much smaller FoV to shields, you can only hold your defensive stance for 0.75s before you lose focus and will fail to parry (release right click and right click again to re-enter a defensive stance). when successfully parrying, releasing the defender or running out of time your defender will go on cooldown for 0.75s

Successfully parrying will set [D] to the value required for bonus damage meaning the next attack with your defender in your off-hand will deal the bonus damage

[D] is independent for each defender type and will begin to drain after an entity has not been attacked by someone holding a defender (of the same type) for 0.5s, resetting to 0 after not being attacked for 6s


Added the Precision enchantment for defenders - increases the stacking value [D] by 20 x level on each attack (see above for more details)


BUGFIX - removed exploit that resets cooldowns on items by leaving the game/server and re-joining - (cooldowns are now handled server side, client side cooldowns will appear to reset but will still be in effect and will reshow when trying to use the on cooldown item)

 


Ereb's Drop Table and natural spawning added - spawns in nether biomes near players of level 60 or higher


Warrior/Fighter class nerfed - no longer gains any bonus attack damage from levels (shield rework is a large buff to warrior/fighter class)


Weapon/Main-hand items active abilities moved to a key bind (backslash by default, can be rebound) - currently this is only the iron forge rapier but more will be added in the future
