Factions ReForged

Claim chunks, declare allies and enemies, and hold territory you can see the edge of. A modern rebuild of the faction mechanic that defined a generation of servers chunk claims, war and alliance, a faction bank, faction chat, and particle borders.

What's new

Fixed

  • Faction territory was missing from JourneyMap after every client restart, and came back only if you toggled the layer off and on. The server pushes overlays when a player logs in, which on a cold start is before JourneyMap has begun drawing — so they were sent and silently dropped. The map now says when it is ready and asks for the picture then.
  • Claiming and unclaiming from the map were reversed on 26.3, because JourneyMap hands over the raw platform mouse button and 26.3's move from GLFW to SDL renumbered them.
  • A standard kept its plain banner name until it was broken and replanted. /f standard set the name on the component map but never on the block entity's own field, so the block still read "Black Banner" — visible in Jade, and invisible to the block-level identity check that is meant to recognise a flag by what it is rather than by what has been recorded about it.
  • The no-faction panel's text ran past its right border. It was split into fixed lines by hand and never measured against the pane; the font wraps it now, so a resource pack or a translation cannot break it again.
  • Minecraft 26.3 support, and the JourneyMap API pinned per line.

Added

  • /f map refresh — sends your map the current territory again. The map runs it for you when it starts drawing; it is silent on purpose, because it happens on every world load.
