What's new

/f raid shipped in 1.2.0 having never been played. A day of playing it rewrote the win conditions twice, found three bugs the self-test structurally could not reach, and added the two features the play asked for. This release is the result.

Raids

  • Taking the flag no longer ends a raid — planting it on your own land does. Stealing it is one lucky sprint; the walk home through the people whose flag it is has always been the good part, and ending the raid at the moment of theft deleted exactly that half. The raid now runs on, so attackers can go for land as well.
  • Taking ground from a faction that flies no standard wins. That raid was previously unwinnable — no sequence of moves completed it. The one-claim-per-raid limit means it costs them exactly one chunk.
  • A countdown on the action bar for everybody in a raid, both sides, tightening as it runs. Bystanders get the announcements and no clock.
  • Raid records and /f raids top. Four counters per faction rather than won and lost, because which end you win at is the interesting part: a brilliant raider and a fortress nobody can crack are different achievements. A disbanded faction keeps its place, marked as gone.

Standards

  • A faction may fly its own flag plus every trophy it has taken. The power bonus stays flat however many — so a wall of conquests is ablative armour for that bonus rather than more of it. An enemy has to come and take every one before it stops paying.
  • The sky rule is now per flag: roof one trophy over and only that one stops earning.
  • A superseded standard is stripped of its name when somebody tries to plant it, and drops as an ordinary banner.

Fixed

  • Faction names with spaces were unparseable. word() accepts letters, digits and _.+- and nothing else, so "Lantern Vale" could not be named by any command that took a faction — not refused, unparseable, with an error that named nothing. Terminal name arguments are greedy now; /f money pay takes quotes and the tab-complete supplies them.
  • A faction in two raids at once showed only one clock, chosen arbitrarily. It now shows the one ending soonest.
  • A broken own-flag no longer takes every trophy down with it.
  • The leaderboard shipped sorted backwards.reversed() after each key reverses the composed comparator, undoing the first.

Notes

Requires SableCraft Standards 1.4.0+, which is unchanged by this release. Built for Minecraft 1.21.11, 26.1.2 and 26.2 — take the jar matching your Minecraft version.

Self-test: 106 checks, up from 84. All 39 raid checks in TESTING.md confirmed in game with three clients.
