# F3VS Arena: Endless Waves - Arena Stability & Protection Update

## Major Changes

### Arena Wand Rework
- Reworked the Arena Wand system to make arena setup cleaner and easier.
- Arena Wand is now used only for arena area selection.
- Left-click sets Position 1.
- Right-click sets Position 2.
- Sneak + Right-click on the Arena Core saves the selected arena area.
- Removed chest-linking behavior from the Arena Wand to prevent conflicts.

### Added Arena Chest Wand
- Added a new tool: Arena Chest Wand.
- Arena Chest Wand is used only for linking an Arena Reward Chest to an Arena Core.
- Sneak + Right-click on a Reward Chest selects it.
- Sneak + Right-click on an Arena Core links the selected chest to that arena.
- This separates arena selection and reward chest linking into two different tools for a cleaner setup flow.

## Arena Core & Edit Mode

### Fixed Edit Mode
- Fixed Edit Mode not actually allowing the arena owner to modify the arena.
- Edit Mode now properly controls whether the arena can be edited.
- When Edit Mode is OFF, arena protection remains active.
- When Edit Mode is ON, the Arena Core owner can build and break blocks inside the arena.
- Fixed old saved Arena Core data interfering with new arenas.

### Old Arena Core Cleanup
- Fixed an issue where deleted or broken Arena Cores could still protect old areas.
- The protection system now ignores arena data if the Arena Core no longer exists in the world.
- This prevents old arenas from blocking building or breaking in unrelated areas.

### Arena Core Removal Cleanup
- Arena Core removal now properly clears its saved arena data.
- When an Arena Core is removed correctly, the related arena protection and stored data are cleared.
- This prevents duplicated or outdated arena data from causing conflicts.

## Arena Protection

### Improved Arena Protection
- Improved arena protection behavior around arena boundaries.
- Protection now covers the arena area plus the extra safe border around it.
- This helps protect arena walls, floors, ceilings, and nearby structure blocks.

### Mob Explosion Protection
- Fixed Creepers and other mob explosions damaging arena walls.
- Mob explosions can still damage players normally.
- Mob explosions no longer destroy arena blocks or the protected border area.
- This protection is separate from player building and breaking settings.

## Arena Rules

### Improved Building and Breaking Rules
- Improved Arena Core rule handling for building, breaking, and placing blocks.
- Placing blocks during waves no longer incorrectly enables block breaking.
- Breaking blocks is now controlled separately by the breaking rule.
- Arena rule behavior is now more consistent and easier to understand.

### Arena Restore System
- Added arena restore behavior during active runs.
- The arena can now restore itself back to its original state.
- The arena restores after waves and when the run ends.
- The arena also restores after death, failure, or completion.
- This helps keep arena builds clean even when block placing or combat damage happens during a run.

## Mob Drops & Item Safety

### Cleaner Arena Mob Drops
- Improved mob drop cleanup inside active arena runs.
- Arena mobs no longer drop unwanted items from other mods.
- Fixed modded drops such as Chitin appearing from arena mobs when mob loot is disabled.
- Mob drops are now cleaned in a more targeted way.

### Player-Dropped Items Are Safer
- Reworked item cleanup so player-dropped items are no longer globally deleted inside the arena.
- Players can now drop tools, weapons, or important items without them being instantly removed by the arena cleanup system.
- The cleanup now targets mob drops instead of deleting every item inside the arena.

## Item Visuals

### Last Stand Hourglass Icon Update
- Added a new purple 16x16 transparent item texture for the Last Stand Hourglass.
- The icon is now more suitable for Minecraft item texture sizing.
- This gives the emergency arena item a cleaner visual identity.

## Fixes

- Fixed Arena Wand conflicting with reward chest selection.
- Fixed Arena Core Edit Mode not applying properly.
- Fixed old Arena Core data staying active after the core was removed.
- Fixed arena regions being protected by deleted cores.
- Fixed mob explosions damaging protected arena structures.
- Fixed unwanted modded mob drops appearing inside the arena.
- Fixed arena item cleanup deleting player-dropped items.
- Improved protection behavior around arena boundaries.
- Improved arena restore behavior after waves and run endings.

## Notes

This update focuses on arena stability, cleaner setup tools, stronger protection, safer item handling, and better long-term world safety.

The main goal of this update is to make arenas easier to manage, safer to edit, and more reliable during long survival or multiplayer runs.
