Because you can't run from taxes, even in Minecraft.  </p>
<h3><strong>Introduction</strong></h3>
<p>This mod adds taxes that are paid through tax collectors. If you have too much debt, they will start becoming aggressive.<br>
Tax collectors drop a proportion of their collected taxes; however, it also increases your tax rate. Paying taxes decreases your tax rate slightly.  </p>
<p>Check the server configs for various settings. Good luck.  </p>
<h5><em>Corruption</em></h5>
<p>Paying tax collectors with emeralds has a chance of clearing your debt. In addition, if you bribe them enough, they become corrupt, decreasing the amount they tax you. Corrupt tax collectors also give you a proportion of their collected items.  </p>
