What's new
Complete Mod Revamp
The mod has been completely rewritten from the ground up. The core idea remains the same, but almost every aspect has been significantly improved and expanded.
Please read the changelog below to understand the changes introduced in this version. The CurseForge description will be updated at a later date.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The mod is not fully finished yet and some features may cause significant performance drops. The mod will be improved in the near future.
- The entire codebase has been rewritten from scratch.
- The mod is now fully client side. Dedicated servers do not need to have the mod installed.
- Completely revamped particle rendering with support for ground, walls, ceilings, water surfaces, underwater floors and special block shapes such as fences, doors, cauldrons and more.
- Wall and ceiling dripping is now supported, with configurable drip length and falling chance through the Drip and Viscosity settings.
- WORLD and FULLBRIGHT brightness modes are now available for normal and emissive particles.
- New lava interaction allows particles to shrink, jump and interact with configurable hot blocks that can simulate lava behavior on solid surfaces.
- Four particle types are available, including LIGHT, HEAVY, MAGIC and the new SLIMY, each with different movement and rendering behaviors.
- The mod supports Forge modded water and lava.
- A much more detailed configuration system provides options for size, count, health scaling, spray distribution, performance, entity restrictions, blacklists, whitelists and more.
- The new blood_entity_config JSON system allows custom particle groups with configurable colors, sizes, counts, behaviors and other properties.
- Custom particle textures can now be defined through the extragore configuration folder.
- Custom particle group textures can be defined using a single image named group_name.png or group_name.jpg, which will be used for all particle variants. Alternatively, separate textures can be provided for each variant using group_name_0 through group_name_3, with each number corresponding to a different particle type within the same group.
- Bookling Gear mod is now required as a mandatory dependency.
