ExtraEnchantments adds 11 new enchantments for tools, weapons, armor, shields, bows and fishing rods. You get them the same way as vanilla enchantments: from the enchanting table, from librarian villagers, and from loot chests and trial chamber vaults. None of them are exclusive with each other or with vanilla enchantments, so Veinmine, Magnetic and Fortune can all go on the same pickaxe.
Tools
- Veinmine (pickaxe): Mine one ore and the rest of the vein comes with it, up to 128 connected ores of the same type. It only works if your pickaxe can harvest that ore. Every block counts as a normal break, so durability, Fortune, Silk Touch and XP work as usual.
- Lumberjack (axe): Chop one log and every connected log of the same kind comes with it, up to 256. Sneak to chop a single log.
- Replant (hoe): Harvesting a fully grown crop plants it again, using a seed from your inventory. Works with wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroots, nether wart, cocoa beans, pitcher crops and most modded crops.
- Magnetic (pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe): Items and XP from the blocks you break come straight to you, including the contents of broken chests, barrels and other containers. If your inventory is full, the items wait at your feet.
Weapons
- Full Charge I–III (sword, axe, spear): Hold your weapon for 8 seconds without attacking, and your next swing deals 5%, 10% or 20% more damage.
- Glitter (sword, axe, spear): Everything you hit glows for 3 seconds, so you can see it through walls.
- Lightweight I–III (spear): Each lunge costs 0.5, 1 or 1.5 fewer food points.
- Seeking (bow, crossbow): Arrows and firework rockets you shoot gently curve toward the nearest creature in front of them, up to 24 blocks away. They never target you, your pets, your teammates or armor stands, and only target other players when PvP is on.
Armor and shields
- Steel Plate (chestplate): No single hit can deal more than 6 hearts of damage to you. Fall damage and the void aren't capped.
- Speedy Hands I–III (shield): Your shield starts blocking sooner after you raise it, with a 10%, 25% or 50% shorter delay.
Fishing
- Fishing Lines I–IV (fishing rod): Casts 1 to 4 extra lines. When your main line catches something, every extra line brings in a catch of its own, for 1 extra durability each.
Where to find them
- Enchanting table. Shields can't be enchanted there, so Speedy Hands goes on with a book. Fishing Lines IV can't be rolled there either.
- Librarian villagers sell them as enchanted books.
- Loot chests and trial chamber vaults have them on enchanted books. Like vanilla enchantments, they can also show up on enchanted gear and fishing treasure.
- Anvil: combine books and gear as usual.
Config
config/extraenchantments.jsonc has four switches for every enchantment:
- Enabled: turns the enchantment off completely. It then does nothing, even on items that already have it.
- Sold by Librarians
- Available in Enchanting Table
- Found in Loot Chests & Vaults
Changes apply after /reload, a server restart or reopening your world. Trades that librarians already offer don't change.
Compatibility
Compatibility
- Fabric: requires Fabric API. NeoForge: no other mods needed.
- Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3, each with its own file.
- Install it on both the client and the server.
- Doesn't replace any vanilla files, so it works alongside data packs and other mods.
- Most modded tools, ores, logs and crops work too.
